Hi Martain I like this channel. I also have a Neo Ross for about 6 yrs and I wanted to share that I've used it on my alcohol stoves to hold my pots and it's perfect with my sterno inferno that also has heat exchange bottom and my Camp Chef which is very similar to the Fire Maple Star X 2 . I basicly use that all the time. Thank you for this channel and for all the work you do
Amy, thank you for the info.. you have just opened a can of worms in my head🤣 now I want to try it with all my alcohol stoves. Would love to see some pictures of your set up. Thanks for the comment. 😊🙏👏
I’ve swapped to a Kovea Spider. I’d been using the MSR Pocket Rockets 1 and 2 as well as the BRS 3000t titanium, both sit high and are prone to breezes. The Kovea Spider is very low and I can invert the gas canister when it’s very cold. Worth a try.
I sent to Korea for it but I think you can get them here. I did pay a small import fee but all in it was around £60 and arrived in a week. Kovea had been making stoves for other manufacturers but eventually decided to go it alone, a good decision I reckon. It feels very well made. It’s not ultralight but I’ve got my BRS 3000t if I desperately need to save a few grams. It’s good at simmering and very easy to adjust the temperature. In short it’s well worth the money.
I use some titanium foil which I clip to my cup. So the windscreen is only fixed to the cup. The benefit is that there is no air gap whatsoever anymore and the system becomes much more fuel efficent. It looks like my pot is wearking a skirt.
Oh I considered one of those, saw them on Aliexpress..I tried to make something similar from a pie dish, and failed! I am probably switching to alcohol stoves, so I made a Caldera Cone, but definitely will get something like that if I do longer trips with the gas canister.

Great choice 👏. So tempted to get that. Find it good? I love the wind master. Such a cool unit. But a lower one would suit for vestibule cooking.
Never heard of the Kovea Spider but looks like a nice wee stove. Is it any good at simmering?
