We are so far behind in the science on gut issues. We are basically throwing things at the wall and hoping they work. No one really knows how to cure chronic, persistent gut issues, it's really too bad. I appreciate you both for trying to do everything you can to get a hold of it.

The SIBO yogurt described in the book Super Gut by Dr William Davis has been much more beneficial for me in eliminating SIBO than the various anti microbials described here (which I tried last year with limited success). I highly recommend looking for Dr Davis’s videos here on TH-cam. Best wishes.

I haven’t been tested for SIBO but exhibit the symptoms and tried Dr. Davis’ “yogurt” comprised of the 3 strains for ~ 5 weeks. It was somewhat helpful with diarrhea, but didn’t eliminate it and other symptoms persist. I’m considering doing it again or his herbal alternative.

@@normanwitts9374 I remember Dr. Davis saying that in some more severe cases it can take several months to resolve the symptoms. If you were starting to see improvement with the SIBO yogurt, I agree that you might want to consider getting back on it. Good luck!

He's the best. A hero in my book.
The oversimplified answer is gut motility.
How people come to have guy motility issues is varied.
I visited Haiti, which I think started it.
After a meal in Morocco, it was over.
I couldn't figure it out. That guy's video was the biggest change. A simple supplement. Omg.
The only question is will there ever be a time when your gut motility returns to pre injury status?

I have some of the worst and most severe gastrointestinal problems that my family and friends have ever seen. Also the worst I have ever seen. I have been dealing with gastrointestinal issues since I was 17 years old and they get worse and worse every year. I also have MCAS, Lyme Disease, mold toxicity (but out of mold now for 3 years), extreme bloating and swelling, extreme constipation, SIBO, candida, gastritis, gastroparesis - pretty much everything imaginable. So if I can help in any way with the study, I would be glad to. If you need an extreme case of bloating or SIBO and candida, for example. I'd be glad to help.

I have spent two years and thousands of dollars trying to resolve my issues. There needs to be a hospital or clinic for people with chronic issues that they can travel to and get help. Gastroenterology has a whole is completely worthless! All they want to do a bunch of test, take your money and then tell you to take antibiotics or Prilosec and then they are done with you once they’ve tapped you dry. It’s disgusting the way they treat people who are suffering!

I did my LYme testing with Armin Lab in Germany. I am in Canada but my ND drew my blood and shipped it over. I did the Tickplex Plus panel and after that came back and we saw what I had been exposed to, we did follow up Elispot testing to see which infections were active in my body and which ones were dormant with the thinking being...you don't want to go in with guns blazing if things are dormant. In my case, everything was pretty much non-active so we worked on immune modulation and I did use IV ozone. I didn't really notice anything from it, so i only did a few sessions. My understanding is that there are really only a couple of labs that are accurate for Lyme testing - Armin in Germany and Igenix in the US. Do you know of others? I paid about $1500 CAD for my testing.

We have to remember not to over complicate everything. Instead of taking everything away, surgery, mold, figuring out all the infections we have, we need to focus on vitamin/mineral deficiencies, and eating nothing but fruit, veggies, and lean protein. Obviously taking away anything causing inflammation, which could be the infections themselves. So when we are changing our ways and diet and even lifestyle, it becomes easier to heal and finally cure ourselves. For some raw heals us, for others, possibly can make them feel worse… everyone is very different. The main takeaway is it’s ALL inflammation, inflammation due to gut health, pathogens, and or foods that are hurting you. 😉

I feel most people with missing Sibo have candida, Sibo as well, Both need to be treated. Long-term candida overgrowth I believe is what allowed Sibo to take hold for me personally. I was an antibiotic overload kid Constant strep, That would sometimes need 2 to 3 rounds of antibiotics which is absurd. 😕 You can look at old school books can’t remember the name of the most popular one, look at the symptoms if you have a lot of them most likely you have a candida overgrowth. What’s the best way to deal with it I honestly don’t know other than diet what is the number one treatment Long term Diflucan did not do it for me. Prescribed by a functional medicine doctor. Also if you have Insulin resistance, reactive hypoglycemia fatigue after eating potatoes ice cream sugar that’s very common with candida. I feel horrible and rice and meat just like Dr Ruscio said, And my methane is horrible. I need the vegetables to keep things moving cruciferous unfortunately I can’t tolerate and that’s my miracle method for pooping. It’s just so hard I feel like I need to be on the protocol of herbs forever. I do very very strong ginger teas which helps. Fresh ginger thank you doctors for continuing to push on and research for us I’ll be purchasing some MSM today that’s also helpful for interstitial cystitis and ongoing bladder infections for anyone who has that.

    1) Rifaximin was mentioned, I have read many horror stories of people being "floxed" and the result causing suffering for many years. Can you please say something about this ?
    2) Have you seen the videos of Elliot Overton promoting high dose B1 to treat SIBO ?
I have been playing with ChatGPT. I will share questions I asked, and the resulting information seems very good, which then produces more questions.
    1) what is the best treatment for hydrogen sulfide sibo
    2) list the gut bacteria treated with each, Rifaximin, Metronidazole, Neomycin
This next question is a result of a genome microbiome test result, I have listed the main toxic bacteria found at high levels.
    3) which antibiotic is most effective at treating Bacteroides_B vulgatus, Escherichia coli (flexneri), Faecalicatena torques, Parabacteroides distasonis, Escherichia coli, Eggerthella lenta, Bacteroides caccae, Parabacteroides merdae, Ruminococcus_B gnavus, Bilophila wadsworthia, Flavonifractor plautii, Bacteroides ovatus, Clostridium_Q symbiosum, Escherichia coli (coli_D), Paraprevotella clara, Alistipes_A indistinctus, Prevotella disiens, but do not include antibiotics of the fluoroquinolones variety
I haven't provided the results, although I can if someone asks, but my point of sharing the questions was to show others how easy chatgpt is to use. And the results are very good, if something doesn't make sense then either modify your question and even state "please explain in very simple terms", you can even not change your question but just make your next question, "can you please explain in more simplistic terms your last response"

Sure would love to be in a room with both of you when you are nerding out over this stuff! I could talk about this stuff for hours. LOL

Why the hell cantyou make this a 20 minute video. Instead of going over all the same old stuff with definitions that everyones heard 5000000 times. Just get to the point and make videos of under 25 minutes. No one needs all the fluff and introductions

This podcast is way too long this is just like a conversation or listening in on the two of you this is not really informative for the length of time that it is this could’ve been cut down to 20 minutes
