Thanks so much for all of your contributions to our CD - and also our Utah concert tour to premiere your piece! We're very excited to keep performing it!
Thanks for sharing April ! I can't wait to hear the album!!! Have a great festive season 🎉 Looking forward to watching many more of your videos in 2024. Thank you 💓
Thanks very much! The 2024 calendar year is less new by the time I'm answering this comment, but...... there is always a new year ahead, right? So, Happy New Year from the end of February to you! 😄❤
Bremen is one of the loveliest places I've ever been! I went just before Christmas for 2 years and love the Xmas Market! Am actually so sad I couldn't go this year
How very wonderful! Congratulations to you, and your trio!!! And I can tell that the natural acoustics are clearly great in that hall! Super idea to make a docu-video about this experience! Bravo!
Thank you so much! One day you and I should play in some virtual TH-cam flute-viola-harp trio - I really love the repertoire for this ensemble! (Of course it would be fun to play with you in a happening-in-real-time ensemble, too, if that ever happened! 😃) 💕
This was a wonderful video. I learned so much about everything classical musicians go into to make a recording. I have a question. Did the harpist bring her harp? Or did she borrow one or rent one when she got there?
Glad you liked the video - it took time to put everything together for it! Good question about the harp. They always take a lot of planning to deal with. Kristi doesn't transport her harp on airplanes because she'd have to buy the appropriate big crate for it (very expensive) and have it travel below the passengers, with the checked luggage (scary!). She was able to rent a harp from the Berlin Philharmonic. She flew into Berlin a couple of days early in order to get the harp and drive with it to Bremen. Harpists have to be so dedicated to dealing with their instrument situation - we are really lucky as flutists!!
I'd never been to Bremen before, but absolutely loved being there! It was inspiring to discover the town as much as we could while working in the Sendesaal. Can't wait to go back in the future!
So exciting! Can’t wait to hear it.
Thank you for putting this together, I learned so much!
Looking forward to hearing the result!
Thank you, Becky! We are SO looking forward to working with Bridge Records again!
