Horrific day and days after, I will never forget. Rest in peace to all those who perished, all those who came to the rescue and those who have since passed away. I first heard this song on the last episode of the second season of the fantastic series "The Shield". This song made that particular epsiode one of my absolute favorites of the entire series. So powerful. So deep.
The song was written AND recorded well before 9-11. The first use of it for 9-11 was not initially authorized by the band, in fact they had no knowledge of it till they saw the video on one of the video channels immediately following 9-11. This is an excellent version of it ... it's one of the very few I've seen Railo in. thanks.
The original comment is actually not true. This song WAS written prior to 9-11 - it wasn't Live's idea to make it the "theme" for 9-11... someone else did it for them. They had to scramble to get the new video re-shot, using 9-11 footage. Plus they performed it live on one of the late night shows. Their album that this song is on (V) was released on 9-18-11.

I think such a beautiful music shouldn't be related with 9/11, an event used wisely by "mighty US warlord, premier" BUSH (like Borat'd say) to gain popularity, at a time his own was very low. Live is way much better and wholehearted than he is, and some people like Charlie Sheen know the truth about what happened that sad day. Italian chief of intelligence, Giuseppe Cossega, knows the truth about that also. But overcome, the song itself, it's simply wonderful. Marvelous. Congrats LIVE!
