The company I'm with we don't tell the contractor the depth. Only give out measurements, paint, flags, and site photos. As well 1.0m near the marks have to be hand digged or hydro vac.
You never give the depth, you become the liability if your marks on the ground. That's why the crews always verify how deep they are by digging down by shovels until they see the utility.
Working in sewer and water we have some locator guys who do it all day, not a bad gig driving job to job , we need pros sometimes it’s not easy if u don’t know
working as an operator of an backhoe-loader for more than 10 years, he could not achieve high-quality work on the detection of underground urban networks. it got to the point that I voluntarily and forcibly took possession of and acquired a search station for myself and was engaged in monitoring the compliance of projects with reality. irresponsibility at all levels ... thanks for the work and for me it is very nice to see that not everything is lost with humanity)))
After working in San Francisco locating, i would gladly work in St. Paul. The weather though, thats where the trade off is, lol. I really enjoyed this video.
I just applied without any experience. Apparently they are in need of locators right now so most companies are hiring left and right. I started last week.
Never tell a contractor you don't know the depth. Spoken like a true locator! 😄👍👍
Lol
