- Mike and Yvonne visit The Nautilus Restaurant and The Yoku Asian Restaurant in Punta Prima.
It's a hot day in May and they are biking off from Altos del Limonar to this popular Spanish coastal resort. The A la Carte menu at The Nautilus was a bridge too far for Mikes depleted wallet so they went off in search of a more affordable option. It materialised in the form of YOKU, a very nice Asian cuisine restaurant at the roundabout, off the N332, at Punta Prima. Some nice drone footage / birds eye views of Punta Prima from the sea.

Hi Mike and Yvonne ,we liked the video ,we have a holiday home in Punta Prima which we love ,next time you go to the Nautilus ask them for the snack menu, they do not tell you about the snack menu as they want you to buy the bigger meals ,the snacks are fantastic and cheap kind regards ,Jan and Steve
Hi Jan & Steve, Thanks for that tip, we will definitely ask for that next time we go. We did go on one occasion, out of season, and there was a meal of the day menu at about 10€. Hi Tony, yes I'm a sweaty person...lol, but it was really hot that day (that's my excuse anyway)
The waiter did look a little impatient waiting for his "tres cincuenta" I did cheat the time he waited for it by about 100% in the edit, I thought it would be funny...lol and it was. to me and you anyway.
The Nautilus is a nice restaurant, a little expensive but we expect that due to its position by the sea. They do a decent value meal of the day midweek when it's quieter. Thanks for watching and your comments. All the best Mike and Yvonne.

Great video Mike & Yvonne… good use of the 360 camera… take longer to edit but well worth it. That meal looked delicious.
Thanks Steve, I'm getting used to the extra work which has to be done with the 360 in the edit. I've ordered the audio adapter, I assume you've got one for your X2? That will save me the sync up. I'm hoping the quality and levels will be good with the adapter - have you had any problems with it, like distortion or low levels?

We were in Cabo Roig same day. Usually we take a 20 minute stroll to a Chinese Restaurant near Zenia Boulevard, but it was too hot. Decided to go to New Hong Kong, just 5 minutes away. Same as you we had Menu of the Day. They did have air conditioning, but they kept the doors open! Paid about the same as you. I’m afraid the dreaded covid has put the prices up everywhere, airfares, car hire and of course food. I think you are doing the right thing using your bikes, and I’m sure you used the airport bus in a previous video.

Hi Willsgrandad, Yes, it was super hot that day and yes, we agree, prices have gone up, in some cases, i.e. car hire has at least tripled from what it was when we first bought in 2017.Food and drink has gone up also but still better value than in the UK, I think.
The bikes save us lots on car hire and frankly we couldn't afford to come and hire for the whole period we are here. We much prefer getting the 7€ bus ride from the airport and then being on the bikes for the duration.

but we have been let down badly by an English builder, so need to sort that out. Not really a holiday as such this time around.

Hi Mike and yvonne how long was the ride up to punta prima on the bikes from yours. We have a couple of bikes too and love the ride down to the nautilus also glad to see you eating in roku it’s definitely one of our favourite restaurants for a good value tasty meal. Love looking at all the drone footage of the area. 🍻

great video guys, as a competitive cyclist who's doing about 300-500km a week, one thing I've learnt is keep away from parked cars, random doors opening is far more dangerous than moving cars lol... stay safe
Hi Karl, yes ,when I play back the video from the 360 “on bike camera” and see how close we appear to be to parked cars it makes me cringe, but in reality we are not as close as it looks. It’s the way the wide angle lens compresses the space but it does make me feel uneasy and I’m guessing you feel the same when you’re watching. Hey guys noticed the Sound wasn’t quiet where it should be was there an issue with the microphones? Otherwise nice video 👍. Mike looks a little sweaty lol 😂
Hi Yogi, yes the road noise at the roundabout made it difficult to hear us at the start and the bike ride to the front was not as I would have liked. I also added this time a stereo ambient track and this may have distracted from the main two voice audio tracks. I do spend a lot of time on the audio, this episode had the usual four separate tracks of audio all to be mixed and synced to the video. A lot also depends on the system you are listening to it on especially f I have embedded a stereo ambient track.
Maybe next time I'll lose the ambient stereo track....

Hi Guys, love the videos, very good information. We are coming over at the end of September to go house/apartment hunting. But it’s a nightmare trying to book accommodation! Can you recommend somewhere? We are looking round the golf courses, my other half, not me! I’ll be shopping or putting my feet up with a glass in hand. We don’t mind if it’s self catering, as long as it’s half decent, thanks again.

Hi Alan, In Spain cyclists have to wear a helmet outside urban areas but are exempt during periods of excessive heat, on steep hills or if they are professional cyclists. Helmets are mandatory for all children under 16 years. This covers them if they are riding or if they are a passenger.

Hi Tony, I, (mike) am now retired. The pandemic finished me off. I was a freelance camera operator and editor working in live events, sport and entertainment. It's getting back to normal now but I hit retirement age in August so that's me done.
