This is an excellent reinterpretation of the classic, with a much more cheerful tone thanks to Gigi's higher pitch. Now, if you want to see a modern intrpertation of how the Carpenter's themselves created their awsome sound, then I highly recommend the month old cover of this song on Jim MIdi Doctor's website, with Tori Holub doing lead vocals. It is beautiful, and very educational.

She was taken from us too soon, BUT there is now a chance to get something from a vocalist who is, in my opinion, 98% as good as Karen. She is a young trainee sound technician called Tori Holub and she is working with a High School music teacher called James Wilkis.
