At least with the spiderman games, you're paying money for two completely different games albeit with reused assets because, you know, spiderman 2: miles morales is a *continuation* of the first whereas with Overwatch, you pay for the first game then later have to pay more money for content which was promised, not given, then watered down in basically the same game just with a shop update and a balance update that was given after years of neglect to the main game. And iirc, there was a bundle you could buy when Overwatch 2 came out that allowed access to OW2, some coins(i think) and *access to PvE* which im not even sure counts towards the campaign, seeing as Blizzard is charging for the campaign seperately.
people who complain about 15 dollars are the same people who drop 200 one character in genshin impact. I get why people are mad but other companies like EA have done worse
The main issue with the 15 dollars isn’t that it’s 15 dollars, fans would be more than willing to drop that. It’s that the missions we ARE getting are way less than promised, and missing tons of features fans were told we’re coming. Plus, the PVE was the main selling point of OW2 and is now being a paid thing on top of buying OW2.

They marketed the game for the pve. People payed 60+ to play pbe. Then they scratched everything, people have the right to be mad

The differerence is in Genshin impact you can earn the currency to buy pulls and stay entirely free to play and still have the entire story to play
