Good place to stay, but limited food options and no hot water is a bummer 😒 If you are planning to visit shivana samudra then do plan talakadu as well. If time permits you can also visit Shri Mudukuthore Mallikarjuna Swamy Devasthana near talakadu ( Get a good birds eye view of cavery river )

Yes, they have inhouse restaurant but it's only open between 11am to 9.30pm.
When was your travel?
We saw some kaveri floods situation on the route when checked in Googlemaps last week.
We travelled last week. Yes, there was an alert for Kaveri floods in googlemaps. Reality was little different though.
