I love your videos, they always bring a smile to my face. I check for new ones on a regular basis. As I am no longer physically capable of hiking or camping the great videos shared on you tube allow me to live vicariously and participate in activities I miss.
It's a great idea, and as always, so light to transport! Thanks so much for posting this. I just subscribed and shared some of your posts on Facebook. Enjoy your break and all the best to you and yours!
I really enjoyed the birds singing in the background throughout. I love multifunctional devices. Who says a coffee pot can't do anything but make coffee? Good stuff Ken! Thanks!! ATB -Steve
I love camp food, and yours is so interesting. I never thought of baking in a coffee pot.I will have to try this. Thank you for all you do. I hope to see you again this spring.
Saw a video made by prepperpotpouri a few days ago. She too used pebbles as spacers and heat diffuser. In the comments section there, I made your mention. Gel fuel is my favourite go to fuel. One box of 200gms by weight burns for about 2 hours. Great video as always.
oh yeah! Now that's cookin' in the sticks!...I've steamed rice and made a stew in one too. Them there coffee pots are not just for coffee and tea...but that there apple pie...I gotta try...lol. Appreciations there Ken for being one of the best...and a good friend as well.
I really like the egg and muffin breakfast idea. I will use cupcake foil with a cupcake paper liner. I will add the egg after the muffin is in the pot. Thanks for the video.
You're quite the camp chef Kenneth, I loved it! Everything looked delicious. I've done some steam baking in the past and it works out quite well. You've got this down to an art. Good work. Take care, John.
Congratulations Kenneth, thats a great idea and a very creative way to make fresh Outdoor Food.,,thanks vor this inovation Greetings from Austria Harry
I really like your videos because you go to have fun with your bushcraft, which what it use to be about. Now it seems like these days most people are about super-serious "wilderness survival" and what to do when your airplane crashes in the mountains and you have a broken leg and that Peruvian soccer team is giving you funny looks.
Hi Kenneth, just love your vids so calm and interesting ,always look forward to the next adventure very inspiring with such a kind spirit in the wonder of out door stuff! I'd buy you a beer if you were my neighbour all the best Will😊
Very nice Ken! I have tried some of this and its really nice and bakes very well. I use different containers inside my large cook pot. Its really great. Thanks for sharing yours! Atb, Dawn
+SouthPaw Bushcraft Thank you Dawn for sharing your experience in different containers. Many people think the only way to bake over a campfire / camping is with a dutch oven.
+BluegrassBushcraft Thanks Robert. We should have a "show and tell" food preparation activity at our next Bushcraft Meet. It would be fun to learn everyone's different ways of preparing meals. Take care, Ken
I have to admit, I make no pretense of being a gourmet; I find very little joy in cooking while out in the wilderness. I like to eat as much as the next guy, but outdoors I give the local bug populations as little time as possible to pilfer a free meal. I very much dislike those freeze dried meals in a pouch, so I just throw a tin foiled potato, or fish, or some meat in the fire, boil up some coffee or soup, find an easy place to sit, then wolf it down. Ive made bread according to your instructions and the taste and smell are wonderful, but my ingredients are premixed, except the oil and water, and within 15 or 20 minutes I have what passes for bread. Many times I put the dough into a mini-tent made from tinfoil and set it within heating distance of the coals. Thanks for all you do.
Very inspiring video, Ken! I plan on hitting the NCT near your old stomping grounds in the UP of Michigan in the near future. I'm thinking the Pictured Rocks area would make for some great fall hiking. Will be putting some of your knowledge to use if I can. Thank you for posting such enjoyable videos.
+Yellowdog Welding Nice that you will soon be in the UP of Michigan for fall hiking. Awesome colors and scenery. Thanks for watching my videos and taking time to comment. Take care, Ken
This is the second video I've watched on your channel. I subscribed, of course. You have captured my attention. I have enjoyed both videos. I look forward to catching up on what I've missed. Stay safe out there, have fun. God bless!
A great idea Ken with the multi use coffee pot. The recipes looked great. With a small mod with some screen, you can use it as a Small trap . thinking outside the box
+billy joe denny Excellent "out-of-box" idea Billy Joe. Now I'm thinking, I could catch my meal with the coffee pot and then cook it! I don't mind eating mice and rats, and I know exactly how to turning it into a rat trap. And, we have plenty of rats in the backyard.... Take care, Ken
Awesome!!! Very cool ideas here, Ken. I love that little coffee pot too, very nice. I guess you put the pebbles in it so the food was not touching the bottom? That apple pie sure did look good too. Thanks for sharing this great video!
+Smell N Roses Thanks for watching and commenting Rashid. As you've guessed, the pebbles keep food from getting too hot an burning on the bottom. Take care, Ken
These look delicious. I was also intrigued at how I apparently had bird song come out of my windows at 10 PM at night. It sure seemed like it came from my windows!
Is it your backyard ? I've seen a plant jar at your right and a wall . But the birds sounds seems to be from the wilderness. You're a cook master . Theses recipes look tasty ...
Ken, Good to see the Wisp being put to good use. The coffe pot worked much better than I expected. I don't use one here but I do have a Zebra billy can and that should work I guess. I think I will give it a try next time I am out. Thanks for the dea. And Until next time. PEACE Sandy
