Edna is my mother. I love her with all my heart. She has taught me everything i know about our Culture Tradition, family history, and mainly about the Lord Jesus Christ. I love drumming and singing, and i am thankful she taught me everything. The only thing i never learn is how to speak our Siberian Yupik language, i grew up playing video games and watching tv all my life. I wish i had payed attention more. I'm glad i at least know our Culture Tradition songs and drumming, many of our Culture Tradition songs and motion-dances are created by my mother Edna Sivuguq Apatiki's father Apeteki.

@@sunriserise7015 My Siberian Yupik ancestors used old wooden boats in the old days made with walrus skin hide for the boats. My ancestors passed along these traditional wooden boats made with walrus skin hide to my late Elders. The traditional wooden boats made with walrus skin hides were discontinued in the early 2000s, when metal boats took over and today the local hunters use metal boats for boating in the Bering Sea.
