6:21 I saw one of these being advertised to use alongside the derwent inktense sticks, you'd grate one stick and then put the powder on damp watercolour paper to create effects :)
After I filmed this I found out they're called a 'Grate 'n' Shake'!! Thanks for sharing, it makes sense to be used for the Inktense sticks as they feel a bit more durable to be grated than some soft pastels! 😊
Wow thats great idea on getting supplies as the prices are soaring. I have a stash of Berol Prismacolors from 1980 i plan on putting to use this winter.
Yes it's definitely a more affordable way to buy them! Oooh that sounds great, you might have some of the original colours that are discontinued now too! 🤩
“Don’t buy this book; buy my book!” 🤣🤣🤣 you’re adorable! What a fun art haul! I love that you’re donating books to schools! That warms my heart so much!
Thanks for listing the alternative auction sites. Since your last video, I've been checking eBay (US) and let's just say the good lots are few and far between. I can already picture you and your retreat attendees painting en plein air in some gorgeous spot with your matching vintage gouache sets.
Thank you so much Lesley, I can't wait to be painting in Portugal and doing exactly that! 😊 eBay can definitely be hit or miss when it comes to good art lots, I hope luck is in your favour soon!
Love your Art Bundle. I have the full set of Premier Prisma color pencils 150 set. I love my Prisma color .they are smooth and creamy coloring pencils . not all light fast but I am a Colorist . hahahah
So many great finds from this auction lot 😄 can’t believe how many new gouache sets there were, that’s awesome! Hope you have lots of fun with these supplies 😄🩷
I got a Whatman watercolor block on eBay from an artist estate. Unfortunately, the sizing was defective and I re-sized it with a gelatin mix which made it usable. I also get art supplies at local estate sales and re-sale shops so your video was so enjoyable to see what you got. I'm learning gouache and use Winsor Newton brand.
So glad you were able to make it usable again! I really love the Winsor & Newton brand, and they work really well mixed with others too! Thanks for watching 😊
That alizarin carmine paint you took out the watercolour box looks ancient. I’ve never even heard of that colour combo in Winsor and newton. You should check the age of that name and packaging. That’s a mix of loose watercolours from different times it seems.
Oh interesting! It's definitely by W&N but as you say - from many, many years ago! I'll try to do some more research on it. I'm looking forward to having a play to see if these pigments are still good!
It was fun going through all that stuff with you Katie, and all that gouache!! You are set for a long time! I think you said that you were going to do a giveaway?! That’s a great idea and you do have quite a bit of it 😍.
Thanks Kathy! Far too much for just me, but looking forward to sharing it all on the retreat and yes, definitely! I have a whole area in my studio where I keep putting supplies to give away so I need to plan that soon 😄
Amazing supplies and great video from you again. Would it be possible to know the name of the auction site please? I've only bought preloved supplies from ebay, so this would be great fun to try 😊
Thank you so much Marie! 💛 Of course, I've popped two direct links that we've used before in the description box - one is EasyLiveAuction and the other is TheSalesRoom! 🤗 It's best to search for specific art brands or terms like 'gouache' etc rather than 'painting' as otherwise you'll get loads of actual paintings in frames come up! Hope that helps 😊
Amazon Germany shows your book only as Kindle version and the app doesn’t even allow me to pre-order it. Would it be possible to have the paperback version on the German Amazon as well?
Thank you so much for your support! I think it may be unavailable on Amazon Germany because we are in talks for a co-ediiton, so there may be a translated version on the way!
The Derwent grater is for Inktence blocks. Grate, wet, paint!!
Thank you, will give it a go!

This is so cool! Loved seeing the different things you got. Maybe I'll try one of these auction things sometime in the future
Thank you so much for watching! Auctions are dangerously addictive 🤣

Oh wow so many goodies! I'm surprised that so much of it is still in good condition, especially the paints
Always a risk buying gouache second-hand but yes I'm so chuffed with the condition of them! They must have been stored really well 🤗
So fun!!
Thanks for watching! 😄
Thanks so much, Katie, for the information and for your time!
My pleasure! Thanks so much for watching 😊

Pens for kids uk are a great place to pass unwanted pens and pencils on to

@ thanks for the info! English works as well, by the way. ☺️
@@sirmascopchanova4657 I'll see if they can list both, it would be good to have the option on Amazon Germany I think!
You can also (pre)order at Thalia 😊
@@ruthgrobacher1417 thanks, Ruth!
I didn’t see a link for the U.S. Is there one?
Oops sorry! Have just updated the info in the description! ☺️
