    Just a little suggestion for 2024. The list of items at the very beginning of a journal / book, with page numbers in numerical order is actually the contents page. The index goes at the back and is not in page number order but alphabetical order of topics / themes with relevant page numbers. I think the original bujo guy got them mixed up and unfortunately it seems everyone has followed him. I really hope one influencer will realise and let everyone know. 😊

      I was going to argue with you because I was *so* sure you were wrong, but it seems I was wrong! As a little fun fact, in Spanish (at lease in Spain) "índice" does act as a synonim for table of contents, that's also why I thought you were wrong haha, thanks for the info!

      I’ve noticed this on like every reading journal bujo I’ve watched and wondered why everyone was calling the TOC the index, lol

    I really appreciated the crying babe bc I’m a SAHM wanting to create more content and spend too much time worrying about my kids being kids. So thank you 🙏🏽

    I love every single thing about this! I’m so honoured to be an inspiration for such a beautiful reading journal 🥹 And the joy you feel when a book cover randomly matches a theme you made ahead of time-I know exactly what you mean ❤

    Super impressed with your color-coded book arrangement in the back.

    I have been looking for inspiration on how to do my book journal for at least three years and each year I somewhat fail with the layouts, but after watching your video has inspired me. Next year is looking brighter . Thank you.

    Your beginning of the year spreads are so calming. I loved listening to the thunder, too.

    A bingo board for yearly goals is GENIUS. I'm definitely doing that next year. And I love the color-coding by physical, audio, and ebook on the shelf page. The color scheme is so pleasing to the eye.

      Lol...it's the only goals list that I seem to respond to.

    Cass, I'm so glad you are back making videos! Love your content. Your reading journal is beautiful! I also keep one but without any artwork, etc. Just writing since I'm not creative at all! 😅

      I think so, too! Just got to the "Books 1 to 10" page where she says the drawings aren't very good, and I thought "You MUST be looking at a different page because that's gorgeous." She's way too hard on herself.

    I’m using the kunitsa reading journal so I don’t have to design anything myself but this makes me want to try. I’ve been watching tons of reading journal videos.

      If I hadn't found books_ergo_sum on IG, I'd still be so lost! I have tried so many layouts in the past and never had some of the creativity of other reading journals I've seen out there. This layout makes it so simple!

    I love your reading journal! yes to more plans with me videos and planner flip throughs. I have also gone through a lots of types of reading journals and this year I am bullet journaling and having fun playing around with themes and page layouts until I find what works for me. 🫒🫒🫒

    • @WhatCassRead
      @WhatCassRead  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I love playing around with themes!! It's hard for me to find something easy to draw though. If my artwork was kicked up a notch, I might be more adventurous with themes.

    Love it! 🌿🌿 I was struggling with printing the book covers from Word as I went, as I was wasting so much paper. This month I'm going to print them all on one page, but I'm not liking my review entries without the cover pic with them so might have to go back - or buy a photo printer 🤦‍♀Hells yes to planning videos!!

    • @WhatCassRead
      @WhatCassRead  ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha, thank you!! I didn't want to use my Canon Ivy for the small photos originally, but it just ended up being the easiest method! Printing on Word then cutting and glueing my covers was toooooo much!

    Really enjoyed the flip through of your journal. I will look at maybe buying an Archer and Olive next year. It is so beautiful. I do more with stamps, transfer stickers, and last resort stickers.🍁 It is because I cannot afford them while I finish my studies with my husband supporting me.😂

      I totally understand! They are pricey, and that's why I wait for sales and look up discount codes! Some times that means I can't get the color I want, but I just don't want to pay full price if they make it so that you can get a discount on them!

    Show us your journal cart. I want to see which ones are in your collection! ♡♡♡ I only have 5 archer and olive notebooks so far. I buy once a year on cyber Monday, black Friday or boxing day. I've never payed full price for them.

      I should! I actually rearranged my whole office, so now my archer & olive notebooks are on a separate shelf in the office!

    🫒 I have been using the Leuchtturm 1917 for 7 years for my reading journals, but I am tempted by the Archer & Olive. The 8x8 are so roomy, I don't know what I would do with all that space! Although 160 pages doesn't feel enough for me...

    • @WhatCassRead
      @WhatCassRead  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I'm definitely going to have to set-up another journal half-way through the year. I think next year I might cut a few spreads to be able to fit more in this journal, but if I continue reading like I have been I may consistently fill in multiple books.

    • @thiadesg
      @thiadesg ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WhatCassRead You could maybe use reusable spreads. For example, the spread where you listed books on your shelves might be made with post-its or in pencil so if you read a book, you can erase it and replace it with another book. Just a thought :)
