I love Broken Crescent. That is an absolutely wonderful mod. My only problem is that it doesn't have gunpowder units so you can't experience the full glory of the Ottoman Empire's Crack Janissary Regiments or their fearsome Monster Bombards. However, playing as the Ayyubids with their Elite Mameluke Cavalry is just awesome. Makes you appreciate the badassary of Medieval Islamic Armies and Culture.

Fascinating as Ancient Egypt, and Frighteningly awesome as medieval Egypt.

The thing about the Ottoman Empire though is that for the first 400 years of its existence, it was quite an effective Empire, it was around the 1700s that they started to fail. The thing about the Rashidun is that they were very good at convincing people to not revolt. While not explicitly using massacres, they used the carrot and the stick to rule. They offered benefits to those that aided them and violent reprisals to those that opposed them.
This is a great soundtrack. The sound of my horse archers shooting down those slow chasing knights one by one until they turn tail and run. ;) Mamluk Archers are awesome to mass.

Check out "Ruler of the Pyramids" and "Blue Nile". They seem pretty authentic. Also in terms of persian music, EU4 has "Battles on Persian borders" which is just absolutely excellent as most of it is authentic.

@@Flyingtart Mainly the voice and the drums(does not sound Turkish or Iranian). But I honestly don't know what part of India(whether it's gujarat, the deccan, bengal, etc.) I'm not a regionalist, just a nice mapper-gamer. And it doesn't have to be folk, it just sounds like in the category of Indian music.
These violins and its melody make it sound like Persian to me. Nothing like Arabic.

im from Sudia Arabia this is not our music style , i think its Indian theme . We use Uod instrument just search here in TH-cam . Even all Middle eastrn countries ( Arabs countries ,Persian Iran & Turk Turkey )

It's an orientalist form of Egyptian music. They literally use Indian, Armenian and Persian instruments with Arabic and Indian vocals. This is definitely not classical Egyptian music
@@r.a1301I know you watched Farya’s video but he literally has a part of this song as an example of non orientalist music made by Westerners. Yes most of the song is orientalist but it does have elements of classical Egyptian music.
@@jorgejohnson875 I did watch that video but I knew this before he uploaded it. 2:00 is the example of actual egyptian music (funnily enough the one part where it's authentic is everyone's favourite). Around 2:45 it always stuck out to me that this is blatantly Indian music

@@jorgejohnson875 I knew only a few. Check out the folk song "Ya Henna" by Abeer Nehme. EU4 also has some awesome soundtracks in its king of kings DLC. Check out "Ruler of the Pyramids" and "Blue Nile". They seem pretty authentic. Also in terms of persian music, EU4 has "Battles on Persian borders" which is just absolutely excellent as most of it is authentic.
