Yeah, I’ve got two very old model D’s coming, and apparently one of them doesn’t work, if I can’t get it fixed I’ll be using the motor cover from it in order to complete the type “A”. But that will probably be sometime next week when I finally get them.
@@connorcruz6249 Oh nice man! Are they from this video? th-cam.com/users/shortsTUGWEJold4o?feature=share if they are that's sick man can't wait to see you restore them!
@@CoolSirens1000T haha yup sadly they're both REALLY trashed, I'll be lucky to salvage 1 out of the two. They did not survive the shipping at all. Almost a total loss
Wow that Type A sounds really good for its age, and the fact it's (partially at least) porcelain enameled is definitely a rarity! It seems to peak higher and coast down longer than any other A I've seen (but then again the slightly higher voltage could be the cause of its pitch). If you're looking for parts, be sure you source a Model A/D with a "dimple backed" motor cover to accommodate for the longer motor and oil port on the back half.
Yup I agree, I'm getting two federal electric dimple back model D's soon that may end up being a parts donor as the seller said one of them doesn't work. but I'll definitely be posting a video tearing into those and diagnosing them once they arrive. If I can't get the dead one fixed it'll definitely be used for this.
Thats so cool! Also, that blue is nice, well, in my opinion.
The ambience 😯
Man that ambience sounds epic! Must be very loud! Are you gonna get a motor cover for it?

@OWS of the South yup the very same! I can't help myself man, I'm a sucker for model D's especially the really old ones
