"We have done every game from Shogun to troy..... and we haven't had a diplomatic game" Well it _is_ Total War after all, but well... lets be honest that was more down to Total Wars Diplomacy more then anything else. It didn't really "get good" till 3Kingdoms and so on. Speaking of Diplomacy, hopefully one of these days they make having Vassels worthwhile. Like bring back the "admin" tax and let us give Vassels LAND via diplomacy. The best thing this game added was the Resource system, something that I hope stays in Total War. Its funny, its one of those things we don't really think about till it becomes a thing. Something other then Gold to worry about to add a little bit of depth, after all "worth its weight in gold" is saying for a reason. Anyway, certainly going to be a interesting contrast between Historical and Mythical.
The total war diplomacy has always been a bane for me. Honestly it's why I learnt to hate allies, which was only made worse thanks to Shogun 2. I'm hopeful for this one though, particularly in the early game. The resource system has been interesting, definitely feels better to have more than just one resource be the determiner. Means taking settlements becomes a bit more a necessity and trade can actually be useful for once, rather than a cheep way to sell access rights for gold. Really looking forward to mythical. This is my first historic and I've tried the truth behind the myth, but mythical will be a first time too. Not sure who to play yet, thinking Amazon (love this faction) for truth behind the myth and Odysseus for mythical as I've heard good things for their missions.
Honestly, I really did enjoy my (short) time with the amazons, but the play test using Achilles got pretty old pretty quick. Seems like there are going to be a whole lot of rebellions going on in this campaign.
The way Achilles just stepped on bro like a door mat😂.
Brad Pitt would be proud!

This one will be hard not because the game is hard but its so shit you want to quit (in my opinion)
