This is a short clip from the Gayelle series.
Since 1974, Banyan has distinguished itself as a producer of innovative and entertaining programmes which aim at the same time to inform and reflect Caribbean people and culture. This mixture of entertainment and social comment so akin to the Calypso, the folk song form originating in Trinidad, has become identified as the Banyan style and is applied in the hundreds of productions Banyan has presented in the last 40 years.

Ahhhhh Sprangalang the walking archivist who always educated us; even on the spur of the moment.
To me he was full of onomatopoeia, for example he would say Zatacks meaning a blow with a sound.
So the letter of the day is Zatacks for example "Jus so jus so the man hit meh on meh head, zatacks with a bottle.
I guess by now he have them singing and dancing to "dance papie dance, papie dance, papie dance, dance, dance, dance in yuh palazo/bellbottom pants.
I searched everywhere for the answer and couldn't find it. Lord knows from the time I first saw this piece on the news after his death I was enchanted by this word I never heard of before and became very curious in deed. I would not have rested until I found the video which I found here and also the accompanying answer. Kerwyncurt Turnbull thank you for putting my curiosity to rest. But secretly I was hoping it was a reptile from the Caroni swamp... Lol. May he rest in peace💜
