I 100% agree, while I get if it's not possible to do a whole original animation for such complex character all the way through, he's extremely stale with not much going on now, just bobbing his head in a looping motion

Good games take a long time to make. Big game studios prefer to churn out garbage yearly releases than to actually put in any care. Oh, and they gotta have their item malls and loot boxes as well.
I'm absolutely in love with Barnaby's designs! The stark contrast between the mouth, the eyes! The extremely animated way his entire face moves! The best part, I think, is the absolute fun of his stretchy neck. This is all very simple, too. No complicated details are needed to make him look amazing.
There's an old Scooby Doo game for the original Playstation I used to play all the time as a kid. And this gives me those nostalgic vibes from that game, including the music before the cutscene and singing from Barnaby.
It's so cool to see how far this sequence has come! The amount of effort that must have gone in to coordinate all the different elements-- the music, the obstacles, everything-- is really impressive! Can't wait for the final product!

This looks so good! The only slight feedback would be making sure the subtitles are looked over for slight grammar errors but honestly overall it looks and sounds phenomenal
Seems good tho the freeroam part looks VERY empty and the first time Barnaby shows up feels awkward. He comes out of nowhere for no reason and hanging from something that's not there. I get he's supposed to operate on some silly reality bending logic but that doesn't need to be shown in the first second, especially if it damages his first appearance. Maybe a noise alerts him. Maybe he comes from out of the painting. Something to make it feel like he bends reality instead of bending nothing.
My only feedback is that the fox is way too close to the main character. Especially when you're jumping from a platform to another, he's always flying attacked to your head. They should take Tails as example and let him follow you with a little delay and stop when close enough.
Barnaby is shaping up to be my second favorite owl creature. Though I am hoping those captions are more stylized in the final version. Give them more character if you choose to have em on.
As much as the chase looks as good as ever, I hope the main non-boss gameplay ends up more interesting than what was shown here, that is to say I hope we have actual levels too
I honestly really love it there is a few parts in the chase scene that I feel like would really add to the music more but I am unsure if they want to keep it toned down some. Like having the cake candles and tnt stay on the main beat to really add to the tempo of the chase. Along with the fire inside the cage dropping in triplet form or even sixteenth notes to add to the challenge a bit. I do like how the bells though land and then give the noise off given time for the hammer to actually hit the bell though.
I really like the soundeffects! They remind me of Wind Waker! 😳 The only thing that might need polishing is the camera. The camera itself is already pretty good with blurring objects in the front. But I fear it somehow gets stuck on buildings and walls. At least it kinda look like it a bit. And it seems a bit far away from the character. I hope we can manually zoom in a bit, I love to see the minor details on characters and the environment! ☺️
the welcome home cameo sucks knowing the VAs and creator have endorsed so much harassment (with one VA telling people to kill themselves on twitter). "it's only about gross peop--" suicide baiting is never okay.

Played the demo and loved it. However, on this stage, I would remove the heal berry after the poison apple. I think it kinda defeat its purpose and it would increase the difficulty slightly.
The only problem I have with this is that the fox could’ve easily flew up and grabbed the gem. Other than that, “A Million Gruesome Ways to Die” still remains a banger!
I personally would love to know. Where the wing goes missing at that spot you mentioned, there’s no lack of a wing, just it being folded in; The only issue would be him just disappearing behind Billie

It's actually amazing that there aren't more games that turn musical numbers into 3D runner levels. Players are pretty much guaranteed to pass through all the sets with perfect timing. I guess maybe it gets obnoxious for the player if the level is too hard and you have to keep restarting the song?

The flip depended on difficulty. On hard mode, was upside down, on easy, was sideways

Something I recommend is making the opening of the level more dynamic. Maybe a platforming puzzle to get to the door or more things to interact with?

theres plenty of others but considering the game is still in development they haven't shown too much
