Great review! I love my 350 Legend.. short lightweight points fast low recoil accurate readily available ammo and inexpensive ammo to boot! It'll knock the snot out of the biggest buck in the woods too! I downed a big bodied eight point and my brothers nephew downed a huge ten point with his during the 2020 rifle season here in Pennsylvania. We're not restricted btw.. I just wanted something with less recoil and inexpensive ammo. So it was a no brainer :)
Some folks are more than a bit nutty when it comes to cartridges, especially in Europe. Driven boar hunts are 25-50 yard shots, ideal for a .350 Legend. Yet, .300 WinMags and .30-06 are often recommended. Of course, they don't like the recoil from their .300 WinMags, so they suggest muzzle breaks. @@RandyWakeman yeah.. I don't know that you'd need a magnum on anything inside 200 yards! I always believed that the magnums were created to carry energy for shots past 300 yards. I also believe that most game is harvested inside of 200 yards. For me hunting has always been about up close identify the game and humanely harvest the intended species. I wouldn't take a shot unless I'm 100% sure that'll cleanly harvest the animal. Shooting at live animals is not hunting and unethical in my opinion. Anyways.. the 350 Legend is more than enough for big game inside 100 yards. The cartridge is fun to shoot as well :)
@@RandyWakeman I meant taken a shot knowing that you probably have a huge chance at missing the quarry or injuring the quarry never to find it! That's unethical in my opinion! If you're not 100% sure.. you have no business pulling the trigger. That's what I was talking about
It really is a great lower MI calibur. I love me some 350 Legend in my Savage 110 Storm. So far its given me my best buck and 10 deer in 2 yrs. So it works fine. 4 deer opening day 2022. If this caliber dosen't work for you then may I suggest Kroger? I really dig mauser actions but for some reason the 110 action is really awesome as well. Perhaps the utility of it.
Excellent to point review. Savage 110 always a sleeper accuracy. Have several in all forms that shoot sub MOA to < 2.0 in all variations including BFR REVOLVER. BOLT, SS, AR. depending on ammo. Favorite HENRY SS. SUB MOA 170 & 165 Hornady. Plethora of ammo choices. One shot kill with high shoulder placement. 85 and 140 yd shots. Recoil very mild. .410 like.

I got 4 deer so far this year with the 350 and I ain't done yet. You think I need 270? Maybe a 50 cal? Location my friend. And for lower MI the 350 is the new 30-30. If you can't bring home the bacon with this gun I suggest you go to Kroger.

Agreed. I dropped a buck in his tracks with mine here in the MI shotgun zone this year.
It's basically a rimless 357 Maximum. My uncle had one and took game with it in Alaska all the time.
It's closer to a rimless 35 Remington.
Hopefully they get off their single shot only horse in IL, and allow regular mag capacity.
