Play it in English, it's fine, you only play in Chinese if you can understand it, you're reading the same sub from what I've seen
@@Dumb-Comment English doesn't have the same impression. For example wukong sounds like a villain/mobster in English, but actually sounds like a protagonist in chinese
@@NO1xANIMExFAN it doesn't impact the immersion since the only time you hear his voice is during the intro (and the 6th relic)
You can get a better experience just listening to your own language instead of trying to catch and read the subtitles, you could be missing the beautiful animations and cut scenes
Perhaps it's because I have never watched DBZ, I don't think his voice is villainous at all, instead I find it quite fitting

@@NO1xANIMExFAN The Chinese original dub is mostly for Wukong's voice, the remind me of Wukong from everyone's childhood TV shows, his laugh is also identical, they nailed it. But then again, it's a handful dialouges and that's it. The rest of the characters sound just like ordinary Chinese.
I would say the Chinese dub is for getting a good impression of the game, but English dub is better for non Chinese players, especially who don't speak it.
@@NO1xANIMExFAN I, like most Westerners, haven't watched Journey to the West, so we don’t have the same nostalgia. Unlike many others, I’m more familiar with Chinese fantasy and somewhat used to the language, but I have to admit that Chinese doesn’t have a way of speaking that sounds "cool." Chinese dubs just sound like regular people talking, not like deities and gods. As you might have already guessed, in Wukong, I prefer the English dub any day over the Chinese, even though Chinese is supposedly closer to the original.
You could say it's because I don’t understand Chinese that I don’t get the same satisfying feeling from it. But that argument falls apart when, even though I don’t understand Japanese, their language still portrays "evil, cool, otherworldly, or just the character's power" in characters' speech to me.
TL;DR: To me, the Chinese language can't portray power in speech like English, or even Japanese, which I don't understand.

I mean, he's supposed to be this ridiculous and overpowered crazy monkey, yet he's real goofy and tricksy. His voice fits him well in both dubs

I'm 57. I don't play video games. I never heard of known anything about this story. But its something about this damn monkey that I can't stop watching
The game is not perfect but it’s made with magic, love and passion.
I feel you man. The intro got me every time, I can’t believe this game exists and I love it.
L2 parries projectiles, there are 2 other parries. one is unlocked early on in the smash stance skill tree and the way it works is that you need a focus point and then you press triangle during a light attack combo but before the light attack combo finisher move. if the enemy attacks you during the heavy attack you it while hitting them. the other parry is unlocked by defeating a boss later on in the game.
A fun fact is that the Chinese dub is mixed with ancient Chinese (Wen Yan Wen) and modern Chinese (Mandarin), it is about 50/50, and they are VERY different! We native Chinese speakers have to go to school (from elementary to even college) to learn that ancient language and it is very difficult. NGL, sometimes have to look at the English sub to understand their conversation......🤣
那叫文言白话，你多读读原著小说就懂了... It is called classical mandarin, just read more novels from ming or qing dynasty, it's not difficult
