Pakistanis aren't used to linguistic diversity. We have people who say moza, moja, jurabien (punjabi) and we all understand each other well. Urdu 'dialects' are not much of a thing in Pakistan because for them it's an imported language. At most they got a Karachi muhajir dialect and a Pak Punjabi dialect of Urdu. Anything other than that like a Sindhi or Pathan speaking Urdu is made fun of. The only dialect they expect to hear is the stereotypical Lakhnawi one. I'm from Lucknow and hardly 4% people here speak like that.

Hindi is a direct descendant of an early form of vedic Sanskrit. Has many words from Persian.
The name Urdu was first introduced by the poet Ghulam Mushafi around 1780. As a literary language. While Urdu retained the grammar and core vocabulary of the local dialect Khariboli.
Khariboli is derived from Devanagari which is based on Sanskrit.
So Hindi and Urdu are descendents of Devanagari i.e Sanskrit and loanwords are taken from Persian and Arabic language.

You literally need to pick 10 dialogues from any modern movie tv that's not based on saffron propoganda and you'll see what i am talking about. you are right it derived from hindi, but the hyper-persianized version today is more Persian Urdu than Hindi Urdu. I don't know why so many people are triggered by this. Forget what anyone is saying, just check it for yourself watch any modern indian youtube video, you'll see what i mean. every 6-7 words in a 10 word sentence are Hyper-Persianized-Urdu.

Both hindi and urdu are from common language Hindustani. Now that was a mixture of prakrit, Sanskrit, Arabic and Persian vocabulary. Slowly both the languages became distinct (hindi more sanskritised and urdu more persianized) and weirdly it's getting blurred again.

The only vocabulary different from hindi are Persian words.
And I don't think "ha ji" is Persian.
Urdu has been hyper-persianized quite a lot in the last century. It has evolved from Hindi in to its own language. I feel real Hindi is more like what Amitabh Bachan speaks, for example.
What we mostly hear in movies is 70% (persianized)Urdu. Revisit your favs see for yourself. Most dialogue is still (hyper-persianized)Urdu rather than (hindi)urdu..

India and Pakistan are the only places where Urdu is spoken. There's no doubt that Urdu in itself is derived from Hindi and also that it has evolved into something different.
But 'ha ji' is not Urdu. It's just two words which exist in Both languages.

what you are calling "urdu' was developed in India around 12th century. It's an amalgamation of hindi, turkish, persian etc. Get your facts rt before quoting-double quoting anything.

Urdu is nothing but a mixture of Hindi and persian words using arabic writing script, Urdu originated in india and is also one of the officially recognised language in india, If you roam around in Delhi you can see Every sign board have 4 languages hindi,english punjabi and urdu.
