Oil canning is a term that comes up when you search it. A prevalent term in metal roofing of all things. Tin canning takes you to canning foods and the up cycling of trash. Your pick.
Absolutely brilliant. Your method of recreating the stressed skin of the aircraft is amazing and is something I will be trying. Thank you so much for sharing

Fine Molds can do no wrong, but I wish their box stencils and A5 instruction manuals came in English, too. I'd like to know all the technical and operational notes in the manuals. They're like a thesis compared to Tamiya or Hasegawa manuals.
Outstanding work and technique. Will be using the skinning tactic. And nice music too, Jazz I can like! Only thing don't like Tamiya panel line finishes, they are too hard to remove and end up looking too dirty for me. One beautiful Zero Sir.
Funny how some WW2 fighters looked like dented oil cans and others looked like they came right out of the factory. Did that have to do with the thickness and flexibility of the aluminum skin under G-loading?
I learned alot from your video, painting white under the blue primer coating is a big help
Wonderful modelling skills. Thanks for sharing, greatly appreciated.
The technique for oilcanning (texturing) the wings was brilliant!!! Thank you very much for sharing your build!
Is 'Tincanning' another term?

Your pick.
Not brilliant at all. First - it is not done like that at all. Second - the metal foil does not pop out like this…usually quite the opposite.
Absolutely brilliant. Your method of recreating the stressed skin of the aircraft is amazing and is something I will be trying. Thank you so much for sharing
never saw this technique. Works very well. Subscribed

What a piece of art! Congratulations!!! Really loved it! 😍 Greetings from Santiago, Chile.
Perhaps the most realistic zero ive seen. Thank you for uploading this. Bravo
thats great work with the metal effect ,maybe i would have done a touch less for that scale but is looks amazing
Beautiful, very realistic surface representation! Never saw this unique technique before. Thanks for sharing!
This is excellent, I was amazed by some of your techniques and learned a lot. Thank you and congrats on your build quality.
You are very significantly talented. Great work and attention to detail.
Looks incredible and you’ve inspired me to build something similar

That’s an easy fix though.
Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing.
That's an excellent Sakae radial with full exhausts.
Outstanding work!
Beautiful Masterpiece My Friend "Detroit"
Amazing work!!!
I wish every 1/48 German, Japanese, and Italian fighter with a greenhouse canopy had a 2 piece canopy like this kit. You'd never mask again...
Oil canned textured panels are a must for IJN and IJAAF aircraft.
Brilliant work. Jazz not required.

The only hard part about Zero cockpits is deciding whether they were Mitsubishi Green or Nakajima Green...
Too much. Incredibly intricate work and expertise, but overboard.
Great technique for the skin. Love it 😘
Wow, amazing...😊
Awesome work!!!
