Finally, a no date with matte dial/bezel insert.
In my opinion, the seamaster 2531.80 remains the most beautiful omega worn by 007. The first models (production started in 1993) now wear a beautiful patina, the tritium indexes have aged towards a yellowish tone and the 41mm (11.5mm thick) case seems almost small on the wrist. 30 years to perhaps be recognized as a true legend.

The 2220.80 from Casino Royale is the best version imo. Might be a hair thicker at 11.8 due do the blown up caseback design but it’s the same from the 90s models. Has applied indices and logo, uses the co axial too.
@@sashimifr Depending on when one’s 2531.80 was produced, it can have super luminova instead of tritium.
The ETA based movement of the 2531.80 is a very well proven robust workhorse, that is more conveniently (and affordably) serviced than the co-axial. Plus, it’s a slimmer movement with a perfect 41mm case diameter

Saw a pic of Dan Craig in an online newspaper, wearing this recently. Was trying to figure what he was wearing, because I could see the strap. That strap at the time was only available for a brown Seamaster, but DC was wearing a blue one. Nice darker blue too. Had to be this. However DC was wearing it before it was announced.
If you search "daily mail. Licence to thrill! Daniel Craig looks typically dapper in a smart black suit", you will see him wearing it. That article was dated 24th Novemeber.
The SS mesh bracelet was a hidden option for a bit

Super brand
A bit sad. Walked in the rue du Rhône flagship store to try a watch not long ago. Took off my almighty 1963 165.024 Seamaster300. Sacred stuff. The salesperson didn't even notice. Have they any knowledge of the magic produced over the decades by Omega ???
