don't understand why it is based on te person version of the 330. now its an fail against the 767. the 767 has more range and freight capapcity. the mrtt dont have an freightdoor, so its failed on these points. or would you want to transport f35 or f16 engines in the belly in half pieces? and what about the less range? An 767 could also get the maindeck filled with tanks full of fuel, thats impressive!
@White Wolf Fokker, and look at both sides. What they offer, what they make and what are the performance. Based on the facts from different websites and our local Aviation press. But i also checked our Defense website. The conclusion from these websites was that the mrtt is maybe bigger, performance aren't that. Even worse that the KC-46. The European stuff from france isn't better than American stuff. Its different, only the kc-46 is better at some points. What you said about the superhornet, is your opinion but the Gripen has better performance than the Typhoon and rafale. The f-18 must be compared with the Gripen. The Typhoon can't be compared with the Superhornet because of age and systems. The typhoon can't drop nukes. The Gripen and F-18 does. If countries bought MRTT they don't compared with the KC-46 but choose the MRTT because of delivery time is faster than the 767 due problems.
I think the A330 MRTT is the perfect solution for great tankers than a 767 :D

the 330 can transport more fuel and more passengers. He is not used for freight, because this mission is assigned to A400.
