Good practice to run a drill bit through where the crack comes to a stop helps to stop it continuing to crack in the future. Just weld the hole up after. Weld the same way at the farm few curse words, and the guarantee it will hold but no guarantee on how long 😂

I would weld some flat bar over those cracks after atleast on the one side otherwise it might just crack again pretty soon.
