I’ve been practicing making overlaps go away by using essentials scissors trick. My problem is reading the layout pattern to determine what goes piece goe s over or under when stitching or placing.
Check the pattern pieces. They have a number and that is the order of how they are laid out. :)
Color sort is fabulous in Embrillance. I used it with the Spring has Sprung table topper from the Table Please One quilt book by Nancy Halverson. So many appliquéd letters, color sort certainly makes stitch outs more efficient. Hey there Frito!

Your letters did come out beautiful, I must say. I have learned a lot from you trying to hang in there. Did buy Stitch artist 2, could not afford the 3rd one. I have purchased a shop demo luminaire and a scan and cut along with the accessories also. Trying to keep up.
You can still do this with Stitch Artist 2. :)
Dime does make the snap hoop for Viking machines...I own a 360x200 and that is the one I plan to use for Happy Halloween...hope I can make it work!!

Watching the replay from CA, I don’t do early mornings 😮! You may want to get Mederma Scar Cream from CVS and put it on your injured thumb everyday. Will heal up beautifully! I cut my finger last year (rotary blade) three stitches later, you can hardly see it.
Do you set up the blanket stitch in SA3 or in Brother Canvas. I embroider on a Pfaff. Will I have to figure out how to get the blanket stitch to work?
I’m thinking about using black flock htv for the letters. It will give the letters texture and won’t need the extra fabric adhesive on the back.

ive found a magnetic hoop on Amazon that is easy cheaper than dimes hoops for those that don't want to spend that much. i bought some for my luminaire and they also make for other brand machines

Color sort is a feature in Embrilliance Essentials. It's not available in Stitch Artist (also Embrilliance).

Are Dime magnetic hoops available for the Janome 15000?
Why does the size change when from scanning to brother canvas to BES Software to Brother transfer to multineedle.
I've never had that happen. Perhaps it's inches to mm? Make sure that whatever the measurement is in Canvas, is the same you're using in BES.
Even not on sale DIME monster magnetic hoops are much less expensive than machine brand hoops.
Could you explain this method, so I have it straight in my mind.......1. take paper pattern scan in scanncut............2. trf to canvas workspace to turn into cut file. 3. trf back to scanncut to cut fabric. 4. trf cut file to Embrilliance to create appliqué file 5. trf appliqué file to sewing machine to stitch out. Is that correct?

No need to buy more. You can change to blanket stitch in the Properties box.

Why are you using a cut away stabilizer? Your batting is your stabilizer when embroidering a quilt block.
Well, I'm not using Battilizer or I'd wouldn't use stabilizer. My batting has the bumps on the back and I'm afraid that with the movement of the hoop that batting fibers might get pulled into the housing under the needle.
