Is that a reputation? At least from this album I hear very honest and raw lyrics, but I've heard very similar themes many, many other times from other musicians too. I also got a solid sense feeling of contemplation about life in general too.
Imo, I feel he's expressing a lifestyle to a very specific audience. Now I'm not saying anyone and everyone can't listen to it and enjoy it but it's really a layout to the pro's and cons of an attractive male thats anti social with low-medium depression tht can't commit to a relationship. I lived tht way from 22-27 and found this lifestyle actually brought more women to me. Thus the pros and cons... all my friends told me I got all the girls but on the other side was thinking of leaving earth every week.
When you get the chance I highly recommend Chase Shakur. he’s an independent artist I believe but music is similar to Brent’s and he’s pretty damn good
