Thank you, Russ. This has opened my eyes to a whole new area in the US which I've previously pretty much ignored. Wonderful. Parts reminded me of the Outer Hebrides, Scotland, and just as empty. And that museum!
I will miss your crises-crossing between Oregon and Washington States along the Columbia River. The hydroelectric dams and their locks shows a progressive harnessing of the river’s power. The Wind Turbines add to the power needed for the homes and businesses between the states. The artistic museum was very interesting with the man sculpture outside where the angle of viewing at one point made him invisible. Yes, the old general’s eyes were alluring. The best part of your travels are the inclusion of road trips. Most of the back roads are maintained very will. All in all the videos were great.
Greetings from the Puget Sound region! I spent my military career traveling the U.S. and some overseas as well. I have found your commentary to be both relaxing and informative. Keep up the travels, I love the content!
Russ, your TH-cam Channel is both entertaining and educational. Your TH-cam Channel is educational because of the great museums that you visit and film. I strongly believe in preserving history, for history is what made America great. We're so blessed that we have our American troops who make it possible for us to sleep at night and everything else that we do. I strongly support our American troops. I encourage all of us to support our American troops and pray for them. May God bless our American troops. Your TH-cam Channel is great, Russ! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 I wish you safe travels and I wish you all the best, Russ. Talk soon, Alan.
@rvertv You're welcome! I reside here in Weirton WV. Weirton is in the Northern Panhandle of WV, just north of Wheeling. If you're in Weirton, it would be great to meet you.
Best travel channel on TH-cam. Being from South Africa now in Florida, I learned so much of the USA history and beautiful small towns. Thank you so much, Russ. 🎉
Nice video, Russ.I have family near Tacoma, Washington, so I've been in that part of state, but never to the eastern part. It's quite different and very pretty in its own way.
Happy Thanksgiving to Russ and everyone! Love that you always try to show the "old downtown" section of places you go. First thing I look for on a map. The old heart of a town/city tells me a lot about an area. Those asphalt lines running down the main street make me think trains may have gone down it and they paved over them? In the early sixties, there was town we went through in Oregon with a choo-choo right in the middle of downtown traffic. Still a few old towns like that in America. Thanks for the video here and happy thanksgiving again. Cheers! 👍
Had a great turkey day at my sister's. Her kids and grandkids were mostly all there. At home- quiet again.!! Lol. 5 days of Lake Effect snow ❄️ coming starting tomorrow. 2-3 feet of snow is coming into N E Ohio. Brrrr.!! The S W is looking good right about now. 🤧🥶🥶😱😱
Your trips and commentary are informative and exciting. I’ll never get a chance to visit these beautiful iconic places, but I certainty appreciate all your hard work and the time you put into every post! Safe trips to you❤
Another day exploring the Columbia River Gorge...yay! The guy in the painting with the following eyes looks sort of like Paul Teutul from Orange County Choppers 🙂. The fruit stand at the bottom of the hill right before you hit the Memorial Bridge has the best peaches ever. I camped at the State Park there and the aroma from the orchards was just amazing.
Great video! Happy Thanksgiving! Interestingly, there is also a small town named Umatilla here in central Florida, not far from where I live. Have a great day!
Happy Thanksgiving Russ, love this video series along the Columbia River Gorge, did you find any information on the art work outside the Maryhill Museum near the Lewis & Clark overlook? Thanks
Oh no! Don't tell me you visited the Maryhill Museum and didn't go to the Stonehenge Memorial! Just up the road is a full scale complete replica of Stonehenge.
Fun fact: Umatilla is where the US once kept its stockpile of chemical weapons. As you drive along the highway you can see the storage bunkers, they stretch for miles and miles.
Thank you, Russ. This has opened my eyes to a whole new area in the US which I've previously pretty much ignored. Wonderful. Parts reminded me of the Outer Hebrides, Scotland, and just as empty. And that museum!
Thank you so much Russ for the videos, love all the trips!!!
More to come!

Sorry to leave the Cunia River Gorge! I’m sure it blew Lewis and Clark’s minds when they found it! Thank you Russ!❤️😀🇺🇸🐥
Happy thanksgiving day to you.
Howdy Russ! Happy Thanksgiving, sir!

How many miles do you have on your van?
Hello Russ, speaking of dams, have you ever been to Grand Coulee?
Oh no! Don't tell me you visited the Maryhill Museum and didn't go to the Stonehenge Memorial! Just up the road is a full scale complete replica of Stonehenge.
You’re welcome..
😏 neat, huh?
Have you got a new van Russ? It looks different.
If you are going inland from the coast, you are going UP the river not DOWN the river

Why does TH-cam suck so bad?
