Wow! I’m surprised this showed up in my recommended because I haven’t seen your channel before, but especially because I’m using that yarn for a project right now! I don’t have much experience but I can say that I LOVE this yarn way more than the thin, tangly, twisted ones I had used previously. So far this yarn has been a dream! My mom splurged and bought one of each color at our Joanne’s! I’m using a 4.0 hook for my project with this yarn. I really enjoyed listening to your review while I worked on my project. Thank you!
That makes me so excited 😄I was able to show a little restraint and only got half of the colors from Joann's but that was really hard. I really wanted to buy all of them. Thank you so much for your comment! 💖
I’m so glad you did this review! I’ve heard mixed reviews on the big twist plush so I was hesitant to try it. And I’m with you - I hate paying for shipping so I’ve never tried parfait chunky. Now I’m off to Joann’s! 😂
Thank you so much for your comment. Shipping can be so expensive especially if you are just buying a couple of skeins to try it out. I hope you have a successful Joann's shopping trip.
I stumbled upon this yarn when I went to my local JoAnn's and I got lucky and paid $5.74 per skein. I bought 5 colors and I've been checking the reviews (after the fact, not the smartest way to go). I'm lousy at making critters, but I'm giving a blanket a shot. TY for the honest review!
When I found my first skein of Posh I had to have it! I made a hat for an infant and then decided it was too big so I pulled it all out and redid the hat. The yarn stood up!! I have since bought a bunch of colors, many of which weren't on display at your Joanns. My daughter works at a Joanns and they cannot keep it in stock! As soon as it hits the shelf it is gone. My next project is going to be a pink weighted rabbit.
I know! I love how durable it is. My mother-in-law used to work at Joanns (a long time ago) but I find myself wishing she still did so she could hide some of the skeins for me 😉
last week they got a truck in and my daughter was sending me photos of all of the colors and asking if I wanted it. Later she text, "I feel like I'm your drug dealer." "Well, you're not wrong."
This is the first video of yours I’m watching. I loved that you compared the numbers. I need to start doing this for my project and idk why I didn’t think of how to figure out how much yarn I use per project. This was great thank you. How do you calculate your labor.
Thank you so much! I have an hourly wage that I've decided my labor is worth and then I use my smartwatch to calculate my time. Then I put it into my spreadsheet and it will calculate my cost to make the plushie for me. You can check out my pricing plushies video for a more in depth explanation.
Thank you. I will because that will defiantly be easier with children. I just wanted to go in the first time to see what the colors looked like in real life since sometimes they look different on the website.
@@Made_By_McKenzie o ur right, I ordered 40 skeins sight unseen the first time I heard of big twist. I should def start lookin at things in real life first

@Made_By_McKenzie Well, yeah... The 8mm is probably only useful to hit gauge on wearables or blankies or whatever. You need way tighter stitches with your amigarumi stuffies ofc. Makes sense. I had to go down from a... 🤔 I think it was a 10mm suggested needle size to 6mm needles when I was knitting a pillow recently. Basically same issue. 😊
I am using the Big Twist Posh yarn in Blueberry Smoothie. I really like this yarn. I paid $699 at my JoAnn’s. I am using recommended hook size which is L 9 mm. Making a baby blanket. This yarn is very soft. Really like it.

Your welcome! Thank you for your comment. I think the Posh yarn would make a wonderful blanket.

I LOVE the Posh!! I hope they come out with more colors, that is the only issue I have.
Me too! I need Red, Orange, Olive, Dark Purple, Dark Grey. I hope they come out with more colors very soon. 🌈🧶

Try loosening up on your tension to start the parfait chunky when doing a magic ring
Thanks for the tip!

The hook size " 11,8 " means US11/L 8mm
Thank you. I will defiantly not be using an 8mm with this yarn.

I was about to mention the info for the hook but you beat me to it.
I used my H - 5.0mm and loved it
