When I go back and watch these old games it gives me nothing but respect for Brad Johnson. How he did what he did that season when getting hit on almost on every drop back took a lot of guts and toughness. How the Bucs won the Super Bowl with an offensive line that bad is amazing.
The play with the TD by Brooks exemplified how dominant that front 4 was. All four lineman were in on that play. Booger with the initial pressure, Spires and Rice crush the QB and Sapp with the pick.
Sorry to be off topic but does anybody know a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly lost the account password. I would love any assistance you can offer me!
Not sure if it was in the 02 CC game vs. the Eagles, but when I hear Greg Spires, I will always remember the stunt he ran with either Sapp or Ellis Wyms where you threw down the G as if he was a 70lb kid.
its astounding just how dominant that front 4 really was.... just unreal. Only defensive front in the modern era even close was the 2015 Broncos, but I'd take the 2002 Bucs allllll day
1:30:00 I remember this moment very distinctly. For whatever reason, it was a defining moment for me as a Bucs fan that season. I went absolutely crazy from that TD bomb to Keyshawn Johnson, sitting alone in my living room as an 11 or 12 year old. Then I very clearly remember how Keyshawn was yelling at someone in the crowd for a long time. I didn’t know what was going on then, and I still can’t figure out what is going on now, but I just wanted him to let it go and celebrate it (perhaps he tossed the ball to the wrong person). I was sooo pumped at that moment. I came back here just to find this play.
Yeah, these old school uniforms for the Falcons were their best ones to-date. It was a sharp look it was like the Raiders uniforms with the silver pants but I thought they were slightly better because of the touch of red on them. Their red on silver look from the late 70s and 80s was pretty great too. They should return to these and update them because the uniforms they've donned the past 15 years are terrible and the worst in the league right now in my opinion they're so 2004 and outdated and just flatout tacky.
Thank you Mike P for posting these Buccaneers games! Oh! What memories!!! I've been watching a game a night for the last five days. LOL!!! Living in San Diego now and I really miss watching a speedy defense..........or a team for that matter.....:-(
i love the Fox intro...wait for Mike Vick to get out of the tunnel. Transition to announcers. You know the Fox producers were like...JUST SHOW VICK ALREADY!
I wish you would post loses too. I know that sounds crazy but I like to imagine a change in a play here and there would have changed the whole game. 2003 season is the one that really got away.
*2nd. See the second time the Bucs and Falcons met. Vick rushed for 9 yards the entire game. Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/NBsrnVB5oG8/w-d-xo.html
From the Super Bowl 2002 Season DVD Harry Kalas "The Godfather of Soul was in the house for the week 5 mathup against the Falcons. But it was the visiting Bucs who dealt out the biggest hits"
I Remember Wanting to be made at Warrick Dunn. When he left the Bucs and Became a Falcon. But, then I thought, if you were in his position and could go play for Michael Vick at the time, wouldn't You. I know I would, but than I would had too missed out on being on the Championship Team of the Bucs that year. Man, that would had Grinded my Gears.
Cannot blame players for business decisions, I am never mad if a player leaves cause they will have their reasons and I respect that. Unless you act like Jameis Winston, acting as a clown and mocking your former club and teammates.
What is that sound at 25:51? I use to love hearing that during games... Then fox had to ruin everything and update the look and sounds of their graphics... I miss the early 2000s
1:30:25 No touchdown sound effect. I am very disappointed. Also, it’s Keyshawn Johnson’s first touchdown of the season, and his longest reception of his career.
1:57:09 The best quadruple play of all time. The initial pressure by Anthony McFarland, a sack by Simeon Rice, an interception by Warren Sapp, and a lateral to Derrick Brooks for a touchdown.

The 2002 Bucs were the absolute Kryptonite of 2002 Mike Vick.
They were for every team y can’t change history

Well, in Denver it was more the front 7. Denvers front 4 cannot even get close to TBs.
Your wrong falcons can actually beat tampa bay
Joe, better to say nothing and let people assume you're a moron than to say something and confirm it to the world
I will take 2002 Bucs as well all day
Keep them game-winning Bucs wins from 2002 coming Mike P. This is awesome!!!
All of the Bucs wins are up from the 2002 season!
These were the top 5 players on the Bucs defense for this game:
Derrick Brooks: 7 Tackles, 1 Pass defended, 1 Interception, 1 Touchdown.
Dwight Smith: 2 Tackles, 2 Passes Defended, 2 Interceptions.
Simeon Rice: 4 Tackles, 3 Solo, 1.5 Sacks.
Warren Sapp: 3 Tackles, 1 Pass Defended, 1 Interception.
Brian Kelly: 4 Tackles, 4 Solo, 1 Sack.

Is it just me or did the old school falcons uniforms look better? I think they were great
Ehh they were ok lol
Maximilian Von Spee I like the black uniforms.
I agree i like these better

@@PredatorKingdom heh, I remember everyone loved the Falcons uniforms when they first came out in 2003
Thank you!!!! Love watching these. I had the entire 2002 season on VHS, but they were ruined in a flood.
Damn sorry that happened. You're welcome though!

1:57:14 Sapp to Brooks!
Touchdown!
@@MikeP813 Outside of King to Dunn on that MNF in 2000, best lateral in Bucs history
That onside kick was legit. I completely forgot about that... (Though to be fair, it 's been 19 years)

I like the old bucs uniforms, the new ones are ridiculous
They could have done better with them.
Got your wish!
Omg your so much awesome, almost every bucs game from super bowl year
JDBass36 I will be uploading all Bucs wins from the 2002 regular season!
@@MikeP813 any chance of the losses too? Just trying to watch all the games. Appreciate all the videos already!

I'm considering it. 2003 was a season of heartbreak and missed opportunities.
The one time Michael Vick couldn't run.
*2nd. See the second time the Bucs and Falcons met. Vick rushed for 9 yards the entire game. Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/NBsrnVB5oG8/w-d-xo.html
Ironically, the first Bucs/Falcons NFC South game would be the last time they met on AstroTurf
02:20:16 that Mr. Brooks int needs more attention. That's your WLB going up and pulling the ball like a DB.
That's why he's in the HOF lol
Thanks for posting this. I was at this game. Sucked :(

"The Godfather of Soul was in the house for the week 5 mathup against the Falcons. But it was the visiting Bucs who dealt out the biggest hits"
They destroyed both QBs that day! lol
Bucs defense could´ve single handedly won you a fantasy league
I'm sure they did lol
Birth of a new divisional rivalry, one of many formed in 2002
1:27:43 James Brown...THEE James Brown!
6:26 Tim Green said "when we ask warrick Dunn yesterday about facing his old teammates he said I'm going to run for my life

Sure did lol

I looked for that sound all over TH-cam and I've found nothing.... I wish they'd bring it back
This game, when we throttled Vick secured the defense as one of the all time best.
Imagine how many fantasy points Derrick Brooks alone would have gotten that season.
Astronomical numbers!
Chris Kreager hell naw that would be magical😂
1:47:44 One of the great forgotten hits... WOW...
Dude got smacked lol
What is that sound at 25:51? I use to love hearing that during games... Then fox had to ruin everything and update the look and sounds of their graphics... I miss the early 2000s
BRUTAL DUDE That’s the score ticker notifying scores around the league. Man everything was so good about fox back in the day smh
1:42:10 Tim Green talking about the New NFC South division, along with Howie Long calling it, “The NASCAR division.”
1:30:25 No touchdown sound effect. I am very disappointed. Also, it’s Keyshawn Johnson’s first touchdown of the season, and his longest reception of his career.
It always painted me to see Dunn in a Falcon uniform.
Do you have the games that the Bucs lost this year as well?
35:17 Keyshawn Johnson’s 500th career reception.
Thanks
Dam mime ur getting all the best games!! Do you think you can get the tb@car game from 2002?
lalter1988 We will see! Keep your eyes peeled! lol
1:30:00 Burnt toast!
That's one of my favorite highlights of Keyshawn.
Andrew Johnson I thought 21 was Deion Sanders 😂
1:27:40 James Brown “Godfather of Soul” is in the booth.
1:46:50 R. Kelly is playing for the Falcons.
1:39:45 Kenan McCardel’s 600th career reception.
1:57:09 The best quadruple play of all time. The initial pressure by Anthony McFarland, a sack by Simeon Rice, an interception by Warren Sapp, and a lateral to Derrick Brooks for a touchdown.
1:43:01 Tim Green draws an infinity symbol.
There was no presentation for the Bucs offense or the Falcons defense.
Fun Fact: Tim Green was commentating on the team he played for during his career.
1:48:38 Audio stops for a few seconds.
That has to be the least Alstott was used in a non injured game.
Gruden underutilized Alstott during his tenure with the Bucs. If Gruden would have used Alstott properly, he would scored more touchdowns.
Alstott was also not entirely healthy I think and he wanted the woman beater to be better than he was
@@MikeP813 Gruden LOVE watching Pittman run into the back of his offensive lineman over and over and over again... Just LOVED it.
1:47:42 Dexter Jackson makes a vicious hit and forces a fumble.

1:37:22 A random yellow dot is on the bottom left corner of the screen.

2:11:15 Camera footage goes out once again.
2:11:42 Anthony McFarland takes a nap, and Warren Sapp wakes him up.
1:28:26 James Brown sends it over to James Brown.
2:00:36 Warren Sapp trying to anger the Atlanta crowd.
2:09:48 Warren Sapp does the airplane dance again.
1:31:28 No extra point sound effect either.
2:18:45 Give credit to Greg Spires for creating the pressure.
1:49:09 Another player with the last name “Bryant”, playing for the Cowboys, and wearing the #88 jersey.
Derrick Brooks was easily the best player of this game.
2:02:26 Warren Sapp dances like an airplane.
Touchdowns:
1:30:20 TB: K. Johnson 76-yd rec from B. Johnson
1:57:10 TB: Brooks 15-yd INT ret
