Hi Sara. I'm a twin and I had twins. In both cases we were never separated ,we had our own friends but we kept an eye on each other. A sense of calm that she was all right, my twins have their circle and like to be in the same class. Consider not separate them unless they ask for it later on.
As a junior teacher, I would say let them stay together in their first year of school. Near the end of the year, check in with the girls teacher and ask her opinion. I've kept twins together and they have been fine. I've also had to split some twins as one twin would literally speak for the other twin and over protected each other and didn't make any friends.
In my experience, I always found it best to separate twins as it allows their individual personalities to flourish. We usually do so from kindergarten. The ones we have who were not separated due to parent's wishes always were treated like a packaged deal by teachers and classmates. Or you would have cases where one led the other, sometimes to the detriment of one.
Food/car diaries featuring foodie Emby is a must stay ❤😂. Keep the girls together they will naturally make other friends. Have 4 cousins we were in all the same classes & activities early on. We grew up like siblings had our own friends & of course mutual friends. Same with my siblings since we are all close in age. We all “developed” in our intended spaces even being together. Now that we are grown we all do something different. The schools guided us in our niches. I think that is the biggest hassle these days the school system & adequate teachers. ❤
I did an essay at university about the placement of twins in schools! The conclusion I came to was just that it really does depend on the twins, but can also depend on the school you are looking at sending them to! You should also ensure that the decision that you come to is reversible - if you separate them and it doesn't work out, you should be able to put them back together. It is also important that you ensure that if the girls are together, that their teacher(s) ensure that they feel like separate people - parent-teacher conferences being completely separate for each girl, and also that there is never comparison/competition put against them academically! Also, you should make sure that the girls are involved in the decision making process!
As a twin don't dare seperate them until their relationship has solidified. Or if they both mutually ask to be. Cause I would have never had this type of relationship with my twin if we were seperated. Let them experience life together. Its best if you still want to seperate them when they enter highschool or during highschool. P.S I love your food dates with Emby
As a preschool teacher that has had a few different sets of twins in class I think it depends on their personalities. If they aren't insane together all the time and will at least some of the time choose to do things independent of their sibling then keep them together, but if they fully rely on each other to do absolutely everything it can slow their development a bit. That's just my thoughts on it. Others may not agree.

I have been watching these videos for a while.. one thing which i loved the most is the authenticity. A lot of family channels do crazy stuff, forcing their kids to act in a certain way, or giving their babies bizarre names, or keeping them in front of camera to do weird tik tok trends.. but here it's kinda refreshing to see that kids are simply playing and doing their own thing. Kids are being kids here. Nothing more than that. A very blessed family.. wish everyone can have this kind of family Emby's cuteness is out of this world. ❤️

Hi. About the twins, I was in the same class as my twin sister. I loved it and I think it was a great experience. Now I'm in university, for the first time in a class without my sister in it. At first, I really thought I had become half a person. She had been the reason I was so comfortable being myself at school. But that same experience with her, was the reason I could find myself again at uni. Whenever I feel shy, or out of place, I remember her. I imagine her, and what she would say. I think being in the same class with your twin creates a lovely closeness and connection, and it's not something to run away from for the fear of becoming "dependent". It's going to be fine. The world is going to eventually force you to "toughen up". No need to be afraid of things being easier for a pair of twins in the same class. (Because it really IS easier. You always have each other.) Again, I think it's diffirent for every individual, and I know twins who were more comfortable when they were in seperare classes. Wishing you all the best.❤❤

Separate classes teaching them independence, allows them to make friends and not just playing with their twin. Their open to learning more social skills separate and their own friends. We have 4 year old twins and they weren’t allowed to be in the same class, which has worked out for us perfectly.

Okay so! Never sick of lunch dates. Emby and Mama both have so much personality that it really makes them a highlight of my day to watch. Let the girls themselves lead. If they want independance, they can still find it among friend groups, clothing, games, without having their most trusted ally taken away from them. If they say they want to be in separate classes, that's what they want, but let them make that decision. Don't forget the dishwasher pot! Socks on Teddy seems like it might be a good distraction that keeps socks on Emby!

about twins being in the same class: its really difficult if theyre identical to tell them apart, and they end up being the same people with the same friend groups because they look so alike. However this doesn’t happen as severely with non-identical twins. possibly you could just see which one appeals best to the twins? or to a teacher that needs to make that choice when theyre too young to really understand.
with regards to twins being in separate classes... there is a slight possibility that they might not nocialise with other kids but in your case that possibility very very slight... they are good natured kids and they have Emby too Also growing up, i have seen a number of twins who studied in the same class, they used to play with other kids even separately also... they turned out fine... i think you can do some trial and error, don't have to take too much pressure, see what works best for you🤗
Keep them together, my mom split my younger twin brothers into completely different schools and I feel like it actually made it harder for them. And food dates with Emby are one of my favourites definitely a keep in!
I'm a twin and we grew up being in separate classes. Our parents wanted us to grow into our own person and not always together (which is still nice). We loved it because people constantly already compare us everyday and it was nice to be known as our individual selves and not as just "the twins". In any case, if we missed each other, we'd just visit each other's classes or hangout during recess or see each other at home. We were also able to have separate group of friends which was nice because we could hang out just with our own group, with each other's friends or all together. 😊

My opinion on whether to separate the girls for school…I’m a mom and grandmother and a retired elementary school teacher with a master’s degree…I would do what the girls are happiest doing at each level of maturity…most likely they will feel happiest and no stress to stay together initially. As they grow and mature, they will each make new friends and not depend upon each other so much. When they become equally comfortable whether they are in the same class or not…then it is time to allow each to blossom and grow independent of one another.

I have an identical twin sister, and we are absolutely obsessed with your family! We have watched all of your videos and have never seen cuter kids. You are amazing parents! For what it’s worth, our parents separated us in class starting when we were 5. It really helped us form individual identities and learn how to navigate independently. I’ve found that people sometimes treat twins as a unit and not as individuals. Of course every set of twins is different, but having separate classes was invaluable for us!
I think you should keep them together. They might get depended but it would be nice to know that no matter what happens, they have the other to fall onto. Plus it will help them adapt easily to the new situation. Let them be together for now and later on, after they get old, they can decide for themselves ♡♡♡
I'd aks the twins what they want to do, and keep checking in each year if they want to stay together or be in separate classes. (And same again with extracurricular classes/after school activities when they're older.) They might end up having different education needs and have to be in separate classes anyway!
I think starting in the same class to reduce the stress of the transition. Then talk to the teacher. If they are noticing behaviours where being with their twin is limiting something about their educational or social development then change it. But then having the same homework and same learning plan isn’t a bad thing. Avoids a mismatch in how much homework they have to do on a given day. (Although I hate the practice of homework for elementary at all tbh)
Especially the way your girls are, they should be in the same class. They’re so close, they might get separation anxiety if they’re in separate class. They can choose to be in separate classes when they’re older, but they should stay together while they’re young.
I've had a few sets of twins in my kindergarten class over the years, and from what I recall they seem to always have a blast and still able to venture on their own interests and sometimes even other friend groups. Maybe a bit later, when they're older they can be separated if they wish to. I don't have kids of my own though so this is based on my teaching experience only. Love your happy family :)

Your kids are pretty good are speaking up. I don’t think there is a hard and fast rule. Maybe keep them together for the first year and then ask them what they want.

I have a twin and my mom let us be in the same class, but as we got older we started to fight more. I would keep them in the same class for now because they are still young. Plus they will probably get to do fun activities together.😀

I'm a twin to a boy and I say do whatever the girls want. If they wish to not separate and it’s possible for them to be in the same class then full on go for it!
