Yeah I was just in Nashville and it’s completely opposite. It is booming and very busy. they’re expected to have 1M people in the city in 20 years. StL is not. We have hit below 300k. Something needs to change.

Just checked, and the city is now under 300,000. I've seen it hover around that number for quite a while and was surprised that it had already dropped this low.

@@Yuan-lo3zz Yeah isn’t it 290k? I’m not surprised at all. It’s just going to get worse.

Maybe we should put a cap on the number of restaurants we have in downtown. You can't sling a dead cat without it hitting a restaurant. Maybe they're crowding out the tech-oriented businesses that we need.

Get the crime down, refurbish all the old buildings, build new skyscrapers on the north end of the city etc. StL did not put any effort into recreating downtown in the last 10 years. Had the city did, the city population would have been up 75k to 100k new residents. Hopefully all the new developments bring growth into the city by the end of decade.

@@Them-x4p People are moving out of the city in droves because of the crime, and that joke of a city prosecutor allowing crime to flourish is a big reason why.
