I 100% agree with the glossing over of the transfiguration. Dallas has been extremely adamant that he will not do the transfiguration because “it doesn’t fit his story…” I think that’s problematic…it’s so central to Jesus’ story, and ours! Jonathan has said he 100% played the last supper in light of John 6 and his Catholic faith so that’s encouraging. I’m Orthodox, not Catholic but there’s the same conviction about what’s happening there. Finally, I think Atticus is the Roman at the crucifixion who will say “surely, this was the Son of God.” We’ll see!
Yes, people have told me that about the "doesn't fit his story," and while I know he has limited time, to ignore such a crucial event (and waste time on a fight about the border of Dan and Beersheba) makes me scratch my head. He does a great job of showing the humanity of Christ, but sometimes lacks in the divinity ... I think I would be asking the same questions as the Apostles and Jesus would be getting annoyed at me, too! : ) I agree about what Jonathan said being encouraging!
I loved the intro too. I thought the armor and trappings were very realistic. It is arguable that David was during the Bronze Age, which fits the armor style in the episode. Nerd comment.
@@jannaswanson271He does heal physically when it’s for the good of one’s soul (we saw that a lot in the series) but also does not heal when, in the mystery of His Will, it would not be for the good of one’s soul. It’s the same as what he does today. He always heals spiritually if we ask. He sometimes helps physically if it’s for our good. It’s a mystery we talked extensively about in previous episodes!
Matthew Levering's book Christ's Fulfillment of Temple and Torah is an excellent presentation of a Thomist account of how all of scripture is unified and points to Christ.
Jeff & Josie from Pickerington OH. We were on our way to ChosenCon and couldn't attend. Regarding Triumphal Entry. I heard somewhere that the gate Jesus entered was the same gat the Lambs entered for the passover sacrifice. Maybe one of those things which sound good but aren't historical.

I love this comment 🤣
Really appreciate your last words. Dallas is a teacher, and as such, he has a responsibility to teach correctly.
well said!
Yet Dallas chose to portray Yahshua as a god that does not heal.

Season 2 Episode 4 - 20 minutes in - the Roman soldier's name according to the CC is Linus Cilnius.
Hmmm.... Darn! Well, maybe the cc is wrong. ha!
