The actuator in the Video is the 0-10V version, and can be connected to the BMS through a controller. Frese also have digital actuators for Modbus/BACnet that can be connected directly to the BMS
What will happen if power is applied before the actuator is mounted? Will the actuator recalibrate itself or what procedure must be carried out?Thank you
If power is applied to the motoric 0-10V actuators for valve sizes DN10-DN32 the actuator will try to calibrate. But if it is not mounted on a valve, it will not be able to finish the calibration, as it will not be able to find the closing point for the valve. The actuator will stop in a fully extracted position. To avoid this the actuator must always be mounted on the valve, before power is applied.
Thank you for your reply.I am currently working on a project where power has been applied to all actuators before they were installed onto the valves. The client has many heating and cooling issues now. When testing the actuators by adjusting the 0-10vdc signal from BMS the actuator is not closing the valve fully. Can this be resolved?

Thank you for this informative video!
Can this be controlled by BMS?

Too much complications. Why not simple design..
