Good Information na !! When i started, i straight away bought Refractometer without thinking about price. Salinity is one of the most important params for Marine tank. Good that u showed the difference. Do a video on Test kits if possible 😊👍🏻
Whoever in marine aquarium hobby, pls be in mind that DO NOT USE HYDROMETER. Salinity must be calibrated through Refactometer only. Anything over salinity 1.029 would definitely kill your fish. Hydrometer shows approximate salinity level at certain temperature mentioned on the brand. In Chennai, no way of calibrating salinity at 25 to 27 digree Celsius (most brand prefers at this range) as our AC room temp itself over 28 digree for sure. High Salinity burns fish skin. I thought it was ammonia burn earlier, but ammonia resulted in 0. After month and months of research, I found that too much salinity or undissolved salt also burns fish skin and peeled off. Over the night I lost 3 of my imported marine fishes.
i missed out this point!!!awesome and i even checked with 25 degree water as mentioned in hydrometer its not even close to it. thats why i compared with hydrometers bro instead of directly tell to use refractometer
