I’m Canadian so there’s subtleties about Hawaiian culture that are lost on me, naturally, but that was a BEAUTIFUL THING ♥️👏👏👏 Wow, the way the Star Spangled Banner brings ppl together (or SHOULD), and the style & panache that you played it with but still holding true to the integrity of the song was masterful & gave me chills… you could see the honest reactions on the faces of the athletes and the crowd 👍👌and then the song at the end that everyone sung along with ☺️ Just really amazing stuff!! Beauty, talent, skill, humbleness, & a respect for traditions 🥇🙏 Powerful stuff

WOW! This was truly incredible! I don't take the time to listen to a lot of ukulele music but this drew me in and didn't let go (so another brand, new subscriber, here 🙂). I'd mention this in the same conversation with Whitney Houston and James Taylor for National Anthem renditions that gave me chills. Then the follow-up with the audience joining in to sing Hawai'i Pono'i was a proud scene to witness. Pushing my feeds to be more of this talent, passion, diversity, beauty & positivity! I LOVED this! C’est une magnifique performance musicale et l’artiste est très belle mais je ne peux pas m’empêcher de penser aux "Austronesian peoples" qui ont voyagé 3000 ans avant JC. Leur langue, leur culture, même leur apparence physique s’est modifiée…c’est comme un film de science-fiction. Il y a de la beauté et du courage dans l’histoire de ce peuple.

The most dramatic national anthem arguably is the Russian, which is basically the old USSR anthem musically but with different lyrics. Your interpretation of that one would be an incredible piece of music. Sad to say the politics that be will prevent this from happening.

I can't celebrate the start spangled banner, even if they don't sing the extra racist verses about punishing enslaved people who dared to reach for their freedom. That song is trash no matter who sings it.
