I really felt intense emotions for him at times but could never hate the guy. The absolute loyalty his subordinates had towards him, the emperor just letting him do whatever he wanted - stuff like this just felt a bit off. With CS4, we now know why. What a glorious bastard. I really loved Osborne as a villain before, but now I also heavily respect him as a character. There's simply nobody else in the series with nerves & will of steel like this guy.
@@Averi0 If only every S-craft was as nicely animated as Rean's second one in ToCS IV (I feel the dev. team thought they had to give him something a little special after having him lead four games in a row). I know the protagonist of Kuro no Kiseki is male but would it hurt to have a female character be the lead again? That said, there are some strong female characters in the game from what I've seen (Judith, Elaine and Shizuna among others). I hope Laura and Sara get to have cameos again as they were pretty tough characters from the Sen no Kiseki titles.
Gotta agree with you there. Osborne has been developed over not one or two, but SIX games! Second to Olivert, who has been in all but one of them. Osborne has interacted with the protagonists of each series. Osborne has been involved in the countries EACH game took place in. Like, GEEZ, he's practically a PROTAGONIST in terms of screentime, if it wasn't for his lack of playability/his motives.
This may sound strange, but I'm going to miss both Osborne and Ishmelga moving forward in the series, both were great villains for entirely different reasons, and I really hope someone can take their places

Everything he did to Rean, Erabonia, Crossbell, and what he was prepared to do to Calvard. All of it was in the name of a massive all or nothing gambit to take down Ishmelga and the Curse of Erabonia with it. Rean himself being setup by Osborne to become the winning move for that gambit. What a madlad.
reminds me of how in bleach spoilers ahead beware Sosuke Aizen pretty much set it up so ichigo could become strong enough to fight him simply to have a adversary strong enough to go all-out against him with his newly acquired power
The final battle song against Osborne or should I say the legendary Emperor Drecisles the Lionheart reincarnation. This is truly a song that fits a 1000 years curse that was recreated in a global version of the war of the Lions. It truly is a fitting end to a great and very enjoyable character giliath obsorne a true villain who nearly brought the world no who did bring the world to its knees. Even forced Ouro to splinter. That is a true feat no one could do.

I fought Ozzie on Hard and lemme tell you, you need ALL the Zeram items you can get. Use a buff? Atropos Blade is his counter. Have a reflect? Conqueror’s Sovereignty wipes it all out. And I HATE that move being used against me.
Man really? After beating so many LoH games, I defined my personal rule of play at least on Hard, every new game. I burned healing items on that fight. And Ishimelga was insanely hard. (I even played Bizon CS2 and SoftBrilliant CS3 difficulty mods, and believe me, it's worth it)
Anyone know which specific track the section starting at around 4:58 comes from (or is first used)? It's been used here and there, but I can't pinpoint it. In any case, the difference between this section and the others make it really feel like both a conversation between Osborne and Rean, as well as the fight between the end of the world and the small ray of hope. A fitting end for one of the most outwardly complex (but simple motivation-wise) villains in gaming.

Finally thanks for uploading this just need the divine knight Osborne battle theme now. Gotta say though as good as this theme is it pales in comparison to E.O.V. from cold steel 2. At least it's better then cold steel 3's final boss theme.
Major spoilers follow. I never really liked Osborne, not even at the end. I seriously disliked Claire except for a brief moment of CS3, so I looked forward to beating him and humiliating her for her loyalty; I wanted to free Lechter from his influence after seeing his adorable rooftop scene in Sky 3rd; I felt what Rean did when he asked Osborne what Crow died for. I couldn't bring myself to respect him for his choices as a father, not when Teo Schwarzer almost died for Ymir during one of Osborne's stupid gambits. I wanted to kill him in the Workshop to avenge Olivert. To have him basically throw himself at Class VII's mercy at the end, after we'd fought the Radiant Blademaster and a true Demon, after we'd kicked some satisfying sense into little Cedric, after we'd finally brought back Crow... was a sorry thing, indeed. Alberich, on the other hand, was an AMAZING enemy. Wish we'd had more. I don't even like Alisa, but an insane immortal alchemist that possesses his apprentices is badass. English voiceover was also better, at least after they recast Osborne to a weaker actor.
You completely misunderstood Osborne. He sacrificed everything to save Rean and this whole plan was to rid Erebonia of the curse forever. Someone had to play the villain or else Ishmelga would win. Claire's loyalty is understandable. He told each of the Ironbloods his name. He is the guy who built the foundation of their world..... Someone they all aspire to.

D3ly ' every fight in sen 3-4 is a joke if u use chrono burst rean w musse’s order. Enemies literally never get a turn lol its so broken

I think they are kind of equal, though I think the Second Phase theme blows both of them out of the park.
