This song has been my anthem ever since I was born in El Paso and gambled my way through life and the west side of North America. I've lost everything more times than I can count but Jerry is always there with this song.

Morning Dew is my favorite..we use to jam . We screwed around with morning Dew .. instrumental.. look up Rob muise..the guy playing Lead Cancer took him too fast ..the last song we played..rip.
If only I could go back and time and grab Brent and lock him up for what was about to happen a few days later, I would have. Save him from himself. It breaks my heart to watch these last Brent shows. He was a hero and they were never the same after his passing.
I never understood how Jerry can still play chords and solo at his best with his shakes he got in his hands when his addiction got deeper, take a look at his chord playing hand
Well if that is true, it surely didn’t affect his playing, but what you are seeing could be his use of vibrato with his left hand. Any way Happy Birthday Jerry we miss you!
It's not from his addiction. He was developing an essential tremor. A benign progressive neurological disorder that affects many people. It causes a rhythmical shaking when you are doing physical tasks with you hands, like playing guitar. You can see it in 1987-88 clips and he was clean for a few years during that era after his coma.
@@knuteboy3778 agreed. Steve Parish wrote about Jerry’s tremors in later years in his book. At some point he was losing feeling in his one arm and was worried he couldn’t play normally. It came and went towards the end of his life
I always tell folks if they want to get a good feel for Jerry's guitar tone listen to the solo from Loser. Also, what is on the top of Bill's floor tom at the start of the tune?
Agreed, Jerry’s solo is very subtle yet pronounced- such a haunting tone. I’m a drummer and believe those are taped on muffling to eliminate ringing from drum heads. The more you tighten the heads the more likely they’ll ring after you strike the head.
I think this was in the middle of his health kick. He looks younger here than he did 8 or 9 years earlier. And to see this, then something from 4 or 5 years later, is pretty shocking.
I've been reading rumors that Jonah Hill is going to play Jerry in a biopic. They should get Tom Araya from Slayer who looks more like him and is Hispanic.
