These confined cages where the movement of animals are so restrictive are apathetic! Hindi po dapat ineencourage and ganitong practices...walang awa sa pinapakinabangan nilang alaga .. IT IS NOT IDEAL, IT IS NOT ADMIRABLE AT ALL.. sa mga bansang progresibo nauuso na ang free range
Just choose "free range" or "cage free" next time you buy eggs. Or grow your own chickens for eggs (try Superior's layer type chicken for free ranging). Even in progressive countries, majority of their eggs are still coming from battery cages. Free ranging just can't meet the total demand for eggs that's why battery cage egg production is still being practiced worldwide (yes, 1st world and 3rd world alike). *btw, SASSO is not a chicken breed rather the name of the hatchery
Better yet, produce your own eggs in your backyard. Raise "kabir" chickens. They are big and they taste like native chicken. They lay eggs at least once every other day. The eggs are not as big as duck eggs but considerably bigger than native chicken eggs and comparable to the typical commercial chicken eggs.

Can you crush their eggs and feed them back to the ducks? We do this with our kabir chickens.
Ideal housing? Eggs are healthier when they are free range. Buy only free range cage it is more humane!
