This is exactly what my university voice teacher tried to teach us, and his sung examples were exactly the same; obviously, the quality of his voice was very different! The problem he had was that he didn’t know how to teach us to do the technique, although he was obsessive about finding a way to communicate what was obviously the truth and never gave up trying for 40 years. What a hero!
