The unforgettable Oscar ceremony that had Heath receiving the award posthumously was such a heartwarming feeling the audience had of mindbending performance by a beloved actor and human being.
If Heath survived and we got the original 3rd movie plan, then it would be the greatest DC big screen production ever. @@Jack-hb4dm I love ZSJL. It was a bit long, truthfully, but man, I loved it. Why I think Dark Knight is the greatest, is because it showed us what a superhero movie could be. In the end, it doesn't matter. It's like debating whether Godfather part one or two were better.

Heath made the joker into something we’d never seen, now it’s the template for that character
Exactly, before him, they were saying Jack Nicholson was "the" joker. Ledger's interpretation of the character has now become the yard stick.
Greatest portrayal of a villian I’ve ever seen
His Joker had all of the physical aspects of canon, but his work on the Character of the Joker gave me chills. I've worked with mental patients before and Heath gave me the same skittering chill up my spine that the scariest psychopaths at the mental hospital gave me. The kind of jump out of my skin unease that only comes when the fight or flight instincts are triggered. What a masterful portrayal and sadly just the tip of the iceberg for what he could have achieved. A legendary performance.
@@dgcaz1 Agree. So real, like watching a documentary, not an actor. Only a handful of films really reach out and grab me, or give actual chills. That performance was mind blowing, and the feeling repeats every time I see snippet like this. - Cheers
That was probably one of the most brilliantly played roles. Heath was just beyond amazing.
Whatching a Knights Tale and The Dark Knight is absolutely Surprised by how talented Heath Ledger was.
Heath brilliant actor, gone to soon, may your soul rest in peace!
When Bale says your good you know your great
🦇🃏 Christian Bale is my favourite Batman ,he plays him brilliantly, and Heath Ledger is absolutely stunning as The Joker , he's definitely the best one ever in the films at least. This is also my favourite film out of the franchise too. ❤ RIP Heath , miss you being around.
This embodies the master lass that is bale. RIP Heath. Truly. A shame we didn’t get more. Still though… that trilogy is historic. 💯💪
Such a wonderfully humble and amazing man
HEATH IS KILLING THIS. 💯💯💯
I always forget he is British

Not since Terminator 2 was there an action film that was faultless from start to finish
Dam now youre making me dig through the memory banks.. what about the movie Heat?
@@heinrichmenzel7163 100 percent agree with that. Heat was flawless! Especiallythe action. But I don't see it as an out and out action movie.
How are you defining faultless? Because there were a shit ton of really really good action movies after Terminator 2 I would probably consider faultless.
@@octaviobumble5245also Heat is an action movie. Just because you don’t see it that way, doesn’t mean it isn’t.
@@no0ne_kenobi209 man you got me curious.. name us a few. And you make a good point about 'faultless'..that could mean something different to us. I have an idea as to what OP meant but some clarification would be good just to have a good debate on action movies
When this film came out I went to see it like 4 or 5 times, one of those times was in the largest imax screen in the world, absolutely amazing film
There would be No Joker Films if it wasn't for Heath Ledger
The fact you had to compete with that level of talent means it is definitely going to be one of the best portrayals of batman you're gonna get
Let’s see Paul Allen’s Joker Impression
The tasteful thickness of it

BEST. COMMENT. EVER. I am howling over here 😂
Well done 😂
Nice ! 😰
Great monologue! The interrogation room scene! That’s my go to for auditions! 👍🏿👍🏿
Bale is a superb actor he creates each character he plays and makes them his own, Ledger was the same as Bale and always gave his characters ‘life’ and real depth.
We miss you so much Heath ♥️
so extraordinary that I still will go back and watch it lol
I went to go see that movie with my best friend in high school. Waited in line for awhile. After we saw it once we bought another round of tickets.
I didn't get to see it in theaters unfortunately, but my siblings and uncle did the same thing. Watched it twice back to back on opening night.
2 accents that got covered up lol RIP Heath, you gave us a lot
RIP Heath LEGEND! 💜
The Dark Knight is arguably the best (arguably), but if the Joker could’ve returned and teamed with Bane and Scarecrow to push Batman to his limits too the point where he would have to decide if it was worth becoming the villain to save others, it would’ve been special
Arguably the best?
No. Not arguably.
It is the level best 😁
@@randomlyfactual1943 Well if that’s your opinion then fair enough, but that’s exactly why I said arguably because just how many would agree with you, there’s also a large quantity of people who would agree with me that Zack Snyder’s Justice League is #1. And even though you’ll no doubt have more who agree with you because of the poor development of the DCEU that lead up too Snyder’s JL, I personally think that the reception and the quality of his JL movie despite having the world going against it just speaks for how good it actually was as opposed to the Dark Knight movie doing great following a movie that was highly praised and attracted a lot of interest
@@Jack-hb4dm I love ZSJL. It was a bit long, truthfully, but man, I loved it.
Why I think Dark Knight is the greatest, is because it showed us what a superhero movie could be. It showed us that comic book movies doesn't have to be campy, there doesn't need to be winking at the camera. If suspension of disbelief is anything to go by, TDK did it with aplomb.
In the end, it doesn't matter. It's like debating whether Godfather part one or two were better.
That wasn't the original plan
The Dark Knight and Brokeback Mountain are my favorite Heath Ledger movies
Knights tale?
The Four Feathers (2002)
The Brothers Grimm (2005)
Candy (2006)
Mine are The Dark Knight(2008) and 10 Things I Hate About You(1999)
He also gave a hard hitting performance in Monster's Ball (2001)!!
Dark knight and 10 things I hate about you for me
One of the best performances of all time. RIP Heath.
Absolutely The best villain in history Man his acting wow speechless ❤️🔥❤️🔥🙏🙏 Rip legend
The only other Two films that I can watch over and over , as for Heath''s performance, is A KNIGHT'S TALE and THE BROTHERS GRIMM! .
Rest In Peace Heath Ledger 💙 ❤️ 🤍 🕊️.
It's still weird hearing Bale speak in his native tongue, I always thought he was American... And also gotta be the best Batman to date!
Christopher Nolan wanted to Batman to have a British accent in this and Bale refused!
@@Fat_Thor all hail the Bale!! 🙌🏻
When Christian Bale feels out done, and you aren't Daniel Day-Lewis, you may be an icon of an actor.
Nice name drop
GOD I miss Heath's talent. I feel like this role just scratched the surface of his true genius.
In Brokeback Mountain, Heath plays a character 180 degrees different from the Joker, and he is just as convincing.
Absolutely the best portrait performance of the Joker. My favorite Batman movie, The Dark Knight. Shame we lost such great actor. Thank you, Heath. RIP 🙏
the best Batman and Joker ever, all the other ones were just there for the paycheck. HAD TO BE SAID!!!!
While I don't think the others are as good, I would not say they are just in it for the paycheck. Changing physique significantly for a role is never easy, and if you are given the time of batman, even if you aren't the best person for the job I think each actor did they their best. Also you are missing Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy, amazing voice actors

IMO, one of the best films ever made.
Imagine Heath's Joker with Brittany Murphy as his Harley Quinn.
Oh man that’s great casting. She would have killed it.
The Dark Night is the best of ALL the Batman movies. The way they played off each other was pure gold
