    Guys, I highly recommend Zombie Guitar! Brian has TONS of content. I have been enjoying the chord tone soloing section. He takes you from chord tone soloing over jam tracks with only one chord, moves on to jam tracks with two chords, then jam tracks with three chords-each jam track has an accompanying fretboard chart which highlights the chord tones of the scale as the jam tracks play. It’s a lot of fun and I’m really learning… Zombie Guitar is the best!

    Great Brian! Thank you pointing out the relationships of the minor modes (& scale patterns) with the Minor Scale and the Major modes & patterns with the Major Scale. Very helpful in learning more of the intervals and patterns diagonally across the fretboard 🎯👍🏾👍🏽

    The best way to put this is as follows: when you learn your modes, you can create a massive scale all over the neck. As you become very familiar with these
    Modes and patterns you can shred up a few frets on one string, jump to another string, do the same, jump to another and basically slide and slide etc

    You made me fall in love with myself. I have been confused so far about the modes. But all my fear and doubts vanished when I saw this video. I landed on this video because I thought I should improve the way I practice scales but what I got in return is simplified way to understand the modes.

Also LIGHT WEIGHT I've been told the SG is light weigh. I had written few weeks ago to you on few lessons. I had to sell my Epi standard less Paul and fender during Pandemic; What's cheap electric. , Ill add the HEART OF IT. AND BIT LIGHTER THAN MY EPI. BACK IS ALL FULL OF RODS, PINNS PLUGS😂. I Adore You Brian; The Strong Silent Type.. Also!! Love this lesson!!!! ✌❤😉

    Brain your courses sound awe3some with regard to learning the neck and theory or guitar playing... in soloing I struggle with how to PHRASE soloing with bends, pull offs, hammer ons, vibrato , timing, etc i've heard people that can hit the right notes, but they sound uninspiring, im sure you know what im talking about..which course(s) on your site teach these important phrasing skills for soloing. thank you!

    Another great video. How do you know which scale to use? For example, when would you use the Dorian scale? Or Mixolydian? Can you remind everyone reading this, do you have a video about pairing scales with the feel you're going for?

    • @zombieguitar
      @zombieguitar  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You just need to look for the "characteristic chord combination", which lets you know immediately if the chord progression is "modal" (meaning Dorian, Phrygian, Mixolydian or Lydian). This explains all of that 😁: th-cam.com/video/1MhgEeojCHI/w-d-xo.html

    Interesting. Just watched this video 4 times. I hope you got all the views! Gonna go search out what the 7th chord of the mixolydian is... I hate that diminished 7th chord of the major scale, if that's what it is called, diminished, what is it, flat 5 flat 7? I can't make that sound good in a progression, always stands out like a dude with his toenails painted.

    • @zombieguitar
      @zombieguitar  ปีที่แล้ว

      The chords in Mixolydian are the same as the 7 chords in its parent major scale (eg. The chords in G Mixolydian are the same as in C major) 😀

    Brian when you mention Phyrgian scale do u mean the Phyrgian mode?

    • @zombieguitar
      @zombieguitar  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Basically yes...the Phrygian "scale" is just the 7 notes. The Phrygian "mode" is the resulting sound from using those 7 notes in conjunction with making the iii chord from the key signature to be the tonal center. A "mode" is a perspective of a key signature!

      @@zombieguitar i have yr lifetime membership but i don't know where to start, i been taking private lessons for 2 months and am getting better everyday, i learned all the 5 patterns of the minor pentatonic scale, 3 metal songs, barre chords, alternate picking, legato, bends but Where should i start if i want to learn how to solo? Thanks

    • @zombieguitar
      @zombieguitar  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@metal1mark73 I appreciate that!! I would recommend working through the 5 fundamental soloing courses in order.
      If you're more of a theoretical learner, than you could also start out by going into In-Depth Lesson Portal > Soloing with Scales (Layer 1).
      Either one of those places are where you want to be 😁

    • @zombieguitar
      @zombieguitar  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@metal1mark73 that book is essentially the written version of the 5 fundamental soloing courses. If you read that book first (which is a pretty quick read), then you will have a much better idea of the "big picture" that is the main goal of those 5 courses!
