This has got to be I think my favorite song of all time. I’m American, I first heard the German version, my German wasn’t good enough to understand all the lyrics at that point but it still made an impact on me. I’ve since heard the English version, and my German has improved. I love the message that it sends, I always sing this at open mic nights and such. Most people have never heard it here but people usually connect to it.

I am a Nicole-Fan from the first hour on; it was in 1981, still one year before she has won the European Song Contest, and she sang "Flieg nicht so hoch, mein kleiner Freund" (Don´t fly too high, my little friend). Nicole is the most beautiful, most talented and the best female singer we ever had.
And then she won the Eurovision Song Contest and have lived off that one song for the rest of her career, without doing anything else of note. She hit the jack pot! At least it is a good song, compared to modern day shit.

Tænk engang, hun kun var 17! Hun indspillede den på "117" forskellige sprog, blandt andet dansk, på gehør :-) Keld er en af DK´s bedste guitarister (jeg når ham ikke til sokkeholderne)! Han kan spille det meste, når han har hørt det en enkel gang :-)
Selvom det er en smuk sang, og den sikkert har gjort hende til millionær, må hun da være træt af at synge den. Lidt sjovt, at Heick interviewede hende på engelsk, for så at synge på tysk sammen med hende lige efter :-)
