- Nobody knows how many of the more than 100 hostages kidnapped by terrorists on Oct. 7 are still alive, a senior Hamas official said.
Osama Hamdan was asked by CNN about the number of living hostages to which he replied, “I don’t have any idea about that … no one has an idea about this.”
During the interview, Hamdan blamed Israel for the mental state of the four hostages rescued during a special operation last weekend despite the fact that it was terrorists who kidnapped them and held them hostage for eight months.
The interview came as the tensions between Israel and Hezbollah in the north intensified with the terror group launching its largest attack on the north from Lebanon since Oct. 7.
Nimrod Goren, the senior fellow for Israeli Affairs at the Middle East Institute joined LiveNOW from FOX’s Josh Breslow to discuss the breaking details out of the Middle East.

Hamas crowdsourced the proceses of holding hostages to the general population of Gaza. That is why they are unaware of living hostages. I think Israel needs to think about strategy to deal with these general population.

Israel would be wise to consider a strategic response to hostage negotiations and the Hezbollah attacks. To wit: 1) appeal to Israel greatest ally, the people of the United States, declaring there will be no more hostage negotiations until Hamas provides and accurate list of hostages and proof of life/death, and 2) when Hezbollah fires missiles respond not only in Lebanon but also strike Iranian military and economic infrastructure in equal measure.
