Cool to find this vid. Skied Red a few years ago with my son. We are from New Zealand but owned an RV in the States. Had a 3 month holiday finding all sorts of out of the way skifields. Not much snow in the USA at that time so we drove to Canada, crossed the border just south of Rossland and stayed in the carpark of Red for a few days. We had a free tour by one of the staff there and were taken to Yodel Inn and met the long haired guy, visiting with him for a bit. A very cool experience. Would love to get back there some day.

My grandfather had a cabin in Squaw basin that was burned down by the forestry service around 1987-1988. I remember going there as a small child only a few times before it was destroyed. I wish it was still part of the mountain today.

Well, there is that one cabin with the grumpy guy and the shotgun. I won't tell you which one. Though you might notice the big stack of skis out back.

Great video, glad you’ve embraced the old culture and not tried to erase it. It would be nice to see some credits. Who did the excellent film work?

The culture and vibe is where a resort takes hard working Canadians money and then ONLY supports a corrupt leader!

Now borders are closed and stay at home orders in place... wont be long before the rest of the cabins are burned for safety purposes. Sad.
