私の場合は、通販カタログやインターネットで海外家具画像を参考にしています。
作りたい物を決めたら、色々調べてイメージを膨らまし材料を決める感じです。
派手な家具よりシンプルな物が好みですね。

お疲れさまです。シンプルで素敵ですね～。側板と棚板は、あえてきつめにして摩擦を利用して固定するのですね。
