The virus only overwrites the Master Boot Record, making the pc un-bootable unless you re-install windows. The Master Boot Record is stored on the Hard Drive on the Pc, not the actual hardware. Re-installing windows just means you download and create a bootable usb using a program like Rufus and the windows iso file.
I used a real pc in this video. If you don’t want to do that than use virtual box or VMware. Make sure that your wi-if is turned off. This virus was made by pancoza, which the virus can be downloaded on GitHub
