I contend that, if their "God" wanted us to believe in, and worship Him, He would have seen to it that finding evidence of His existence and stories was easy. Archeologists would not have to spend centuries digging in the dirt to prove the Bible true.

Archaeologists dug for nearly a century, and found evidence negating the so called truth of the bible. Its wonderful that these people set aside their faith to find the actual truth, without reservations on how it would impact their faith. Many have turned secular as a consequence. Knowledge has a humbling effect.

@@l0_0l45 Could you mention the archeologists that renounced to their faith after their discoveries?

@@guadalupejog Given that belief in Mosaic authorship is considered a prerequisite for Jewish religious identity, one can argue many of these guys are apostates. Amihai Mazar maybe, Israel Finkelstein definitely could be argued as such.

This could be very interesting, but God, what a boring speaker he is!

Prof. Mazar is one of the giants of the archaeology of Israel/Palestine. He is far from boring.

valerie poulsen : That may be, but in this case he is basically just reading from a book/script. It's very hard to stay engaged.
