2:41:10 Absolutely tangential memory for the void: About 15 years ago I had a friend that was a wild animal. He climbed radio towers as a hobby, worked at a strip mall where he sold cell phones, stole phones from his own store, lived in the parking lot and lived off their wifi in an old Honda Accord station wagon. He drilled a hole in the passenger seat floorboard to use as a toilet, and it had a double use of ditching weed or booze underneath the car when being pulled over. Said that using it as a gloryhole someday is his equivalent to joining the Mile High Club. He was so ridiculous that he could be on the show as himself and come across as a character.
He sounds a bit a like a friend of mine from about 35 years ago, Schmutley. He was an avid rock climber and was always itching to climb and I'd be out with him in town, going to a movie or whatever and I'd be talking to him and he wouldn't answer and I'd turn around and he'd be 2 or 3 stories up a building, with the tiniest hand holds in the brickwork. He was fearless. Scared the shit out of me once driving my car he passed a car on the crest of a hill and if a car had have been coming in the other direction we'd all have been wiped out. I pretty much stopped hanging out with him after that. A pity. He got great weed. I just remembered his dog. When there was a smoking session taking place at Schmutley's (which was pretty much all the time) his German Shepherd would go from person to person as the bong was passed around, waiting for the one toking to exhale the smoke into the dog's mouth. I never did it, I thought it probably wasn't good for the dog, but he seemed to love being wasted.
@@THEjoelivingstone he had a German surname Schmiedecke or something like that so that’s where it came from but he was a very horny guy and had an awesome physique. He was bi and never wanting for sex so I think that contributed to the name too

Well, it's a pun, of course, referencing an iconic (and oft-mentioned on CBB, particularly by Scott and PFT) American television series, M*A*S*H, in which one of the characters, Corporal (later Sergeant) Klinger (who will be the reason for the shows second "cancellation", making light of transvestism as he does, using it to display "mental illness") was played by the actor Jamie Farr. Ergo, when Jeffrey "Jason Mantzoukas" Characterwheaties asks Scotty Auks a question using the expression "by far", Scott "Scott Aukerman" Aukerman interprets it in his character's lovably idiotic way, as "by Farr", stating it sounds like the title of "Klinger's autobiography". Technically, he should've said "the actor who played Klinger's autobiography", but he DID say "autobiography" rather than "biography", which is more than many would in the short time it took to come up with the pun. Now Sir, I hope I have pleasured your ego (although I can't see how showing how clever I am validates YOUR self-esteem!) or at least massaged your sense of humour AND proved that at least TWO people got that pun, three if you count Zouks, so we're in fucking good company ... then again, how do we know that YOU got it? Just for the record, "By Farr" sounds nothing like Klinger's ACTUAL autobiography, which is entitled "Just Farr Fun".

Absolutely tangential memory for the void: About 15 years ago I had a friend that was a wild animal. He climbed radio towers as a hobby, worked at a strip mall where he sold cell phones, stole phones from his own store, lived in the parking lot and lived off their wifi in an old Honda Accord station wagon. He drilled a hole in the passenger seat floorboard to use as a toilet, and it had a double use of ditching weed or booze underneath the car when being pulled over. Said that using it as a gloryhole someday is his equivalent to joining the Mile High Club. He was so ridiculous that he could be on the show as himself and come across as a character.
He sounds a bit a like a friend of mine from about 35 years ago, Schmutley. He was an avid rock climber and was always itching to climb and I'd be out with him in town, going to a movie or whatever and I'd be talking to him and he wouldn't answer and I'd turn around and he'd be 2 or 3 stories up a building, with the tiniest hand holds in the brickwork. He was fearless. Scared the shit out of me once driving my car he passed a car on the crest of a hill and if a car had have been coming in the other direction we'd all have been wiped out. I pretty much stopped hanging out with him after that. A pity. He got great weed. I just remembered his dog. When there was a smoking session taking place at Schmutley's (which was pretty much all the time) his German Shepherd would go from person to person as the bong was passed around, waiting for the one toking to exhale the smoke into the dog's mouth. I never did it, I thought it probably wasn't good for the dog, but he seemed to love being wasted.

@@THEjoelivingstone he had a German surname Schmiedecke or something like that so that’s where it came from but he was a very horny guy and had an awesome physique. He was bi and never wanting for sex so I think that contributed to the name too

They hooked me for the whole show with that, "By Farr" joke - 1:00 Mark. Somebody comment and let me know you REALLY get that joke by deconstructing it in my honor (and at my feet, by far) without looking ANYTHING up. Pleasure my ego.................NOW!
Well, it's a pun, of course, referencing an iconic (and oft-mentioned on CBB, particularly by Scott and PFT) American television series, M*A*S*H, in which one of the characters, Corporal (later Sergeant) Klinger (who will be the reason for the shows second "cancellation", making light of transvestism as he does, using it to display "mental illness") was played by the actor Jamie Farr. Ergo, when Jeffrey "Jason Mantzoukas" Characterwheaties asks Scotty Auks a question using the expression "by far", Scott "Scott Aukerman" Aukerman interprets it in his character's lovably idiotic way, as "by Farr", stating it sounds like the title of "Klinger's autobiography". Technically, he should've said "the actor who played Klinger's autobiography", but he DID say "autobiography" rather than "biography", which is more than many would in the short time it took to come up with the pun. Now Sir, I hope I have pleasured your ego (although I can't see how showing how clever I am validates YOUR self-esteem!) or at least massaged your sense of humour AND proved that at least TWO people got that pun, three if you count Zouks, so we're in fucking good company ... then again, how do we know that YOU got it? Just for the record, "By Farr" sounds nothing like Klinger's ACTUAL autobiography, which is entitled "Just Farr Fun".
