AN INTERABLED couple who found love online, have hit back at internet trolls who believe their relationship is fake and unnatural. Maria first came across Catalin's social media profile in 2019 and was immediately struck by Catalin's artistry and how open he was about his condition. Catalin has a condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy, which is a degenerative condition which means he needs round the clock care. It was Maria who took the first step by sending him a friend request and leaving heart emoji's to all of his online pictures. After some initial messages, their relationship moved incredibly quickly. Maria told Truly: "Things went from liking to love in less than three weeks for me. We moved in together and now we're living together". Maria and Catalin decided to start a social media account to show the world their new relationship but not everyone online liked what they saw. Maris explained: "We started to get really rude comments like, 'I don't get the point of him being alive', our relationship is not natural and we are attention seekers". Despite these horrible comments, Maria and Catalin are incredibly happy together and have big plans for their future...with wedding bells possibly on the way!

I dated someone that was paraplegic due to a motorcycle accident he had when he was younger. He’s the most down to earth and selfless person I know. People fail to realize that disabled individuals are full of life just as the next person. When I came into the picture he didn’t need my assistance with anything, this includes driving a car. Even though our relationship failed as lovers, we’re still good friends till this day.

We decided to go our separate ways due to him not wanting to eventually start a family. Seeing that you know nothing about me, I suggest you mind the business that pays you.

Adoption is an option
People always seem to think that able-bodied people are with disabled people for their "money" but when will society learn that the "money" that disabled people receive from the government is literally barely enough to survive. Disabled people are often unemployed due to medical reasons OR more commonly, discrimination.
Maria here. That's sad, but you're right.
In Romania, Catalin receives only 250 EUR per month. (disability benefits)
To make a comparison - a studio to rent in the nearest city to us, Baia Mare, is around 200 EUR per month (without water, electricity or gas bills). Basic food is around another 150-200 EUR per month. (I'm sorry if I am being to explicit, but we have nothing to hide 😃)
To be honest, it is impossible to make a living from this money.
Catalin works in music and I work in IT. If one of us did not work, we would not be able to afford a living.

4) No ego, no prideful ways
5) No problem making their relationship public

Interabled couples are not unnatural. I am a man with a spinal cord injury with a fiance who has the most beautiful legs in the world. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me. We met the year after my wreck which left me in a wheelchair. My girl is beautiful and smart and lovely in every way. When we go out, she pushes my chair or walks by my side. She is the most amazing person in my life. Our relationship is not weird as theirs is not either. If you are someone living with a disability, love is possible with the right person.

I give her mad props because I just couldn’t go into a relationship from the start like this. That’s a lot of caregiving more than an actual partner/relationship or what comes with a partnership/relationship. Only my thoughts though, everyone is different. I wish them nothing but happiness and glad they found each other if this is genuine! 😉❤️

@@rebekahlovitt9540 Your feelings are valid, but another view can be that people making those comments might be self aware of their emotional limitations. As someone who has struggled with depression all my life, I choose not to have children or pets because taking care of MYSELF daily is exhausting and challenging. I don’t feel I have it in me to give to another person the care they would need, and we would both feel dissatisfied. Maybe one day, but not now. But there are plenty of people out there who can offer that level of support if that is what you are looking for. I’m not going to be right for some people, but someone will think I’m everything they hoped for. Sometimes we can only do so much about changing ourselves, and that’s ok because that is true for all humans. I think it is wonderful seeing many interabled couples on TH-cam because it de-mystifies the circumstances of how other people live. If ever I sustained an injury, I see how my life would need to adjust and I am now more aware how to accommodate others better. It also shows how some people enjoy being trolls, which is never ok. Having to endure those evil comments while maintaining optimism requires a lot of inner strength, which I admire immensely. I hope everyone reading this finds love and happiness in their lives!

As long as two people are happy that is all that matters. Those nasty ignorant people are usually unhappy with themselves so they like to try to bring others down to their level. What a miserable way to live ones life.
First of All, Society anywhere around the world will ALWAYS look at a relationship between someone that is "Differently-Abled" and an "Able-bodied" person in a Negative light. Same happens with me. I have Cerebral Palsy that affects both my arms and legs with muscle spasms on a daily basis. I am married for almost 3 years and we have a 3 year old daughter together. The first thing that the Society that are against relationships like this, assumes there's some kind of "Wealth" linked to why the Able-bodied person is in such a relationship with a Differently-abled person. Secondly one of the BIGGEST Assumptions is that people such as ourselves are not able to have kids. This is crazy. There's lots of other negative assumptions that are made of which none of them are close to being true. Everybody deserves to be loved NO MATTER WHAT... Nobody was put on this planet to live a lonely life.
You two do u guys! May u guys be blessed with many years of happiness. Ignore those trolls who make rude and ignorant comments to u guys. People like that aren't happy with themselves and want to put others down! Their just jealous because u two are happy and they aren't.

I know of a friend who is in a wheel chair and is married for over 20 years. For persons who judge you could be in a wheel chair and would love to find true love. Be kind.
Anyone who comments about her being with him for his money is really insulting her as a person; her heart; her integrity. The obvious negative comment would be something like; she's so pretty; why be with him? But that insults her as a person. What do people think? That a pretty woman cannot possibly love a man who has a disability? What an insult. It's just the same old adage; don't judge a book by its cover. While her outside is surely pretty, her heart is absolutely gorgeous because she sees his heart; and they match. Blessings to them.

As a self-sufficient paraplegic, I frequently encounter difficulties in establishing connections with others. This leads me to question whether some of these connections are founded on reasons other than love. In my experience, when I disclose my wheelchair-bound condition to most women, their behavior toward me tends to change significantly.
Love is all that matters between a couple. Who cares what others think. You 2 are blessed more ways then you know. Be happy with each other.

How horrible, what people say. They are two people in love. They seem as though they truly do care for one another. Sure, she’s able-bodied and he isn’t. But disabled people are still humans. We are like you, even if we need accomodations or can’t perform the exact same functions. To imply that people only care for us out of pity, money, or attention… it’s hurtful. And very wrong.

These types of women and men are answered prayers from the mother's who worried about their babies and their futures....they are definitely heaven sent to the disabled. When they reunite in Heaven he or she will have a brand new body...without limitations....over look the disability and focus on the soul.

She is 100% an attention seeker. They got together way too quickly. She actively sought him out. There is no genuine reason to seek out a sick individual to date. The reason can only be selfish. And even in his case it is not healthy to be defined by an illness, period. She even said she liked him because how he spoke about his disability. She is not a saint and should not be treated as such. This is not true love. He loves her cuz he has no choice.
basically what I notice in every interabled couple's lives are people comment abled person is behind the disabled person , So does that mean every boy/girl behind someone is because of only love ? why interabled couple don't exist I do not understand people's thought process.
If this is the one scenario , the people in my country are pathetic , I haven't seen these kind of relationships in my country.

Not to be pessimistic, but there should be a study done (if there isn't already) on the able-bodied partners who enter in to these relationships. See what sets them apart
Yeah, I also thought the same. I know, love is universal and everybody deserve to be loved but it should be some triggered factor for the partner who's taking care the other. I'm not sure if someone does something like that just because they love their partner madly.
